Land a sucker punch or a lucky punch that 'shakes the brain'........and it doesn't matter how hard you are.....you're out like a light.

In addition, his brain might have been weakened by excessive drinking.

Although our Aussie friends will probably say that their brains have high tolerance level to alcohol. You drink, you chunder, you move on.

So he was still out cold on the floor and they took a photo at the scene, surely for these photos at least show someone attending to his condition or at least looking like they give a s***

My thoughts too.... standing around, one taking a photo.. no-one even put him in a recovery position

Curious picture, but this is Thailand and I've recalibrated 'curious'

The poor guy is decked out on the floor and everyone just seems to be stood around looking at him.

Help might have been more appropriate than a photo bomb

The French can be as hard as anyone else. This stuff all started when they wouldn't let the Yanks fly over France to bomb Libya. Have a [real] look at how hard they fought in 1940  .They were led by  imbeciles, but if they hadn't fought so hard half the poms would still be in Dunkirk. Have a look at Verdun in WW1 .BTW I am no Francophile but I just like the truth not the rhetoric.

Generally speaking, the truth is shunned on this forum.

Phuket, Pattaya and Samui have long attracted the vast majority of the lowlifes who come to Thailand. Likely now more than ever.

Totally normal foreigner behavior. I just avoid the circus and freak show.

That is absolutely true, but only if it’s a French person. In this case, and in most others, only the nationality is French. However, the genes come from date pickers.

Does not the photo of the guy on the floor look like it was taken at night? Just curiouse as the posted time of the incident was in the mornng!

The Australian fellow sprawled out on the floor, is  somewhat curious. All the Australians I have ever encountered would not collapse like a child waiting for attention.  Australians suffer far more serious  injuries playing sports or crushing beer cans on their heads and don't collapse onto the floor because some frenchman gave them a small laceration. The man didn't need medical assistance, so the injury could not have been that serious. The man purse suggests someone was being a bit over dramatic.

If he has the same happen to him as the experience I had he will be asked to pay for new towels. Some years back I had stayed for a few days at a beach hotel on Samui. On my last morning I was taking a shower and while doing so had an inexplicable nose bleed. I needed to use a towel to stem the bleeding. Later I packed up and went to reception to settle my bill. As I did so the room cleaner came in with the towel I had used and I was told to pay for a new towel. When I explained what had happened and said I would not pay I was told that the cleaner would have to pay in my place. I paid the bill immediately but never stayed at that hotel again.

Why would you not want to pay for a damaged item?

The "arrested individuals" are probably waiting for a wire transfer to drop so they can pay-off the cops and the whole story vanishes like it never happened.

one punch delivered in the right place by someone who knows how to hit will knock almost anyone out

When is it that proper background of individuals will be provided...

French

French from French culture

French from Arab culture

French from 'other culture'

When French national is used, it is hardly ever a French from French culture..

Words have meanings...

In situations like this, we do not know what the word means...

Should of given your father a medal for it 😉

Usually it take 2 to start these digusting brawls...but often takes only 1 to stop the fight and walk away.

Far to many unsolved ego issues or drug and booze abuse amongst these visitors in Thailand.

Some ignorant responses about Aussies, medical injuries,  unconsciousness etc

Education has passed you by…..

The suspect must have been desperate to flee this kingdom ASAP.

Once back home(France), there will be absolutely no chances he is extradited to Thailand in any cases.

As that's what their constitution prohibits.

French people are really ashamed when they see how bravely the british defended Jersey and Guernesey in 1940.  And nobody in Jersey and Guernesey during five years even talk to the germans, never mind collaborate with them. And even more so when they remember the ferocious defense of Singapore. Until the last drop of blood ! Never surrender !

I was responding to the person who claimed that the French were the heroes of Dunkirk and who offered an incomplete assessment of events in Libya.
