Thaksin Pushes for Prayut’s Return as PM Amid Political Shakeup

4 months until the election process starts. Why stain yourself with the choices of PT or BJT. They must stay true to the masses that support them nationwide. They have been waiting along time. A bit more and things could well change big time. PP is very heavily favored in all polls. How the PP party plays its card right now is crucial. Played right the dinosaurs should have some fear as they have now.

Still don't get it, as they clearly said they support Anutin.

In 4 months time Anutin can do a lot of wreckage, to make sure PP is not on the ballot in January

Thaksin has no shame. Well we already knew that power is everything to him. He still wants to be, am I allowed to say it, king. That is why so many of the middle/older generations do not like him.

  • Prayut let's go.

Prayut, the former army chief, staged the 2014 coup that toppled Thaksin’s sister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Yingluck was not "toppled by the 2014 coup", she was already out of office by that time, removed by the Constitutional Court".

Great news if this happens. The hassles against foreigners will then increase on visa or tax issues..like those good ole' days.

What "hassles", for what "increase on visa" [sic] or "tax issues" was he responsible?

If Uncle Tu comes back then Yingluck will likely be able to return. Win-win situation

Thaksin seems hell bent not to let Anutin be PM

Maybe Thaksin should be prosecuted for high treason and conspiricy. In facto he is mot allowed to do anything in politics, but we only constantly that he is involved in everything.

How do you know this? I think you're totally wrong

Given a choice between Anutin or Prayut to lead this great nation, I think suicide might be preferable.

Well he is not. Take a look at first the popularity  of PT, then of his daughter, then of himself. All segments of society have had their fill of the whole family.

A coup without a coup.

I don't agree. Older people will remember all of Thaksin's benefits

How about the guy that the people voted for. Or else stop pretending you are a democracy

Let the 2nd round of circus start 🤣

Circus is an understatement, havoc will rampage through Thailand Phuket and Pattaya will become Russian state's, drug's and criminals will breed like rats, goodbye tourists, when the hotels wake up they'll be empty or wrecked, maybe Thaksin failed but a coup is definitely on the card's Annutin wont last long.

Hopefully after the ousting of himself, and two family members the man has no credibility left, and nobody's listening to him anymore. I think he's become several steps beyond irrelevant and even the people that I know in Issan who used to like him, despise him at this point.

Prayuth is the last man in the world that should be leading the nation, he set Thailand  back a decade during his highly toxic rule.

They voted for the wrong person.

Democracy has never existed in Thailand. It has always just been a face for the west. 'Land of smiles' to collect the tourist dollar.

The country is a military-monarchal state propped up by Buddhism and business monopolies.

Do you really believe that or is it sarcasm? With the Cambodian situation the military is feeling real good about itself right now.

Since Thaksin left office he has endorsed five people to be prime minister. none including his family members have completed a full term.

He wll recommend anyone as long as he can keep his snout in the money trough of thai politics.

The Thai people are realising the damage the most devisive family in Thailand have caused to the country through Thaksin's self promotion.

Started all this, it's been an orchestrated over throw by Annutin, blowing up seven 11s but the land mines are sad weapons that should have been banned years ago, but the world is sick and still uses them my friend lives in Cambodia and sent me orchestrated videos of Thais pretending to be terrorised into hiding in culverts, then the camera's finish filming and the actors come out laughing

Have you not noticed the bronze statues in Hua hin, and the uncontrollable police corruption and drug running that has been happening even while Tony was out of the country

By talking to people, so do you mean they are wrong in their thinking.

The decision comes with specific conditions, including the dissolution of parliament and constitutional amendments. Natthaphong Ruangpanyawut, a prominent figure in the party, made the announcement earlier today.

Where is that DH emoji.

National War Hero Lt. Gen. Boonsin Padklang is reportedly being groomed for the next Army PM.

No matter who is anointed, the people will get hosed, again.

Pathetic, utterly pathetic.

The Indonesian people are showing, this very week, how to deal with a corrupt  government.

If only the Thai people had such collective strong cojones...
