another defeat for teflon toni, who staged the whole circus just to satisfy his personal hunger for power ...

Anutin was in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana at one time, although he seems to have flip-flopped on that a few times now.

Anutin is a parasite and leads a corrupt party. He is going to be exposed by the Justice Department for his involvement in the corrupt Senate money laundering scheme. Could happen tomorrow.

A good strategy by Anutin: agree to everything the People's Party wants. Get into power and dissolve the People's Party immediately on some trumped up charges.

Yes get in bed with the devil and you’ll wake up in hell.
Beginning of the end for PP

I think it is a smart move of the Peoples Party. Choose Anutin and the Pheu Thai will do everything to dissolve the government and call for elections. If they don't succeed, they ae sure it will be done in 4months. Pheu Thai backstabbed the fotmer MFP and if Bumjaithai is doing the same it will only benefitb the Peoples Party

The People’s Party’s decision will take effect once the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party signs the agreement publicly. This move could potentially reshape the political landscape, emphasising transparency and reform while steering clear of a contentious majority government. The focus now shifts to how Anutin and his party respond to these conditions, as Thailand watches closely

That's a lot of conditions, let's see what Anutin does next.

At least Thaksin is out of the picture

is this guy the "Farang Hater" !

Well then lets "fasten seat belts" for new Visa rules and other disadvantages for us !

Perhaps letting the Thai citizens make a decision on a PM.........😉

Good one!!😅

This was a historic mistake of unprecedented proportions and he showed us exactly what he's made of during the 10-year failure of the Prayuth  Administration, otherwise known as the Prayuth Decimarion. That likely set the Thai economy back two decades, and the recovery is still happening today.

Other than cannabis policy he's completely regressive, he's overly rich, and he's not the right man for the job.

What about an election and  who the Thai people want?

Jesus wept !!

What's going on in the world that every country seems to vote in people who are useless at their job to run the place 🙄🙈

Wheeler dealing at its finest. Our nests need feathering.

Probably retirement extensions for "dirty Farangs"  will require in a Thai bank,  2 million baht for the bachelors and 1 million for the married and all visa agents jailed.........

I think you are very close to the truth there.

Fingers crossed, because him as PM is the very last thing expats want. We will be as welcome as a pork pie in a mosque, a few chosen quotes from him,(remember dirty farang not wear mask), will see the Thai people turning against us. Would rather have Prayut back.

I think we just misunderstand what a politician is, what his job is, and why there are few that truly excel at running a country like a business.

If it takes 200 votes to approve a bill and your political party wants you to vote one way which way are you going to vote?  These guys are isolated from the countries problems.  They have a distorted perspective influenced by living in the Capital, surrounded by security, and not having to worry about having enough money to send your kid to school, make the car payment, or afford decent food.

Some people want to believe bad enough that they actually believe the sales pitch.  Can't blame some for hoping for a better life, what else can they do?

Most of us have seen this before and pick the one who we believe will either do the better job or less damage to the country.

We have learned to adapt and live our lives the best we can in the environment that surrounds us.

What's the lesser of two evils?

Taksin trying to bring back Uncle Prayut as PM or Thanathorn backing Anutin?

I go for the second option but usually I make wrong decisions.

I agree, the former is a soldier who should be in jail for leading an illegal coup and stayed in office playing at being a politician supported by soldiers, guns, and tanks for nine years and only has a Military Academy education.

I do not like Anutin either, but as you say he is the lesser of two evils and is no friend of us farangs, but at least he has a degree from a university in America.

Phumtham criticised the current democratic system as distorted

Well Phumtham, you are right..., but have you ever taken a step back, looked in the mirror and reflected on how much of this distortion originated with you and your Pheu Thai party?

I bet you did, and smiled as long as those distortions worked in your favor...

That would be a first.🙃🙃

Doesn’t  mean it cannot happen. I remain optimistic.

And what if he doesn't once he has been installed?

My thought exactly. The whole agreement is about what Anutin and his party must do once in power. And if they do none of it, the People’s Party will withdraw their support and bring down the government.

But once in power, you can bet your bottom drawer that Anutin will be wheeling and dealing to negate the hold that People’s Party will have over him.

I very much doubt that he will simply do as agreed

He was right about the masks though.

Back when a lot of farang were Pooh Poohing the idea is when he was trying to give them out. Later on masks became an integral part of fighting covid.

I have a feeling Anutin will find a way to stab the PP in the back.

He'll make every promise under the Sun....then just backtrack without blinking an eye.

BJT screwed them over by not voting for their candidate in the last farce of an election, and now they're backing Anuting/BJT? What the actual...
