Perhaps you've forgotten the scandals of the Boris Johnson government?!

But they were 😁 yeah...everyone knows how much stamp duty they need to pay...but she fraudulently claimed to pay less...this is lying, theft and a crime...

The article...red meat for the hard of thinking states he just made a few jokes......

Explicit calls to violence (first entry) cross a clear line into incitement.

Dehumanizing language (entries 2 and 4) contributes to hate speech.

Death threats or violent intent (entry 3) escalate the tone further.

Historical analogies to Nazism (entry 5) are highly inflammatory and typically considered beyond the pale in public discourse.

He's the head of our elected government. Whether you like him or not is irrelevant (although I suspect you know little about him). And do you think he sent police to make the arrest? The police were following the letter of the law, a law which has absolutely nothing to do with Keir Starmer. In fact he has questioned the response publicly.

And I would put it to you that actually Graham Linehan is a real piece of work. I love his comedy but he's a transgender hating bigot. He is also already on trial for harassment and criminal damage against a transgender person - separate from this case. He lost the plot around seven years ago sending hundreds of nasty tweets a day, even calling David Tennant an "abusive groomer" as he supported trans rights. He's been left by his wife, dropped by his agent, he's seen his career implode. Nasty nasty piece of work.

But I guess you know about as much about him as you do Keir Starmer.

No we don't. We don't need some written document that allows kids to be repeatedly massacred in schools. Our magna carta and unwritten constitution are absolutely fine as they are thank you very much.

Are we? How so exactly? Explain in detail, not with right wing cliches, give some real examples of why we're turning into North Korea.

I'm also guessing you know as little about North korea as you do about Keir Starmer, Graham Linehan and how the UK works.

The united states’ second amendment is what prevents it from fascist governments like the one you got. British people would be able to take their country back if they had guns right now. Instead though they lose their country to islam.

I was wondering when you would pop up with your usual anti-anything that isn't right wing BS.

I'll let AI easily debunked your nonsense - 'The UK Online Safety Act was enacted to hold online platforms, including social media companies and search engines, legally responsible for protecting users, especially children, from illegal and harmful content online. The Act's main goal is to make the UK the "safest place in the world to be online" by requiring these platforms to take down illegal content, prevent harmful content, and implement safety measures like age verification. This legislation was a response to growing criticism of platforms for failing to adequately address serious issues such as child sexual exploitation, misinformation, and content promoting self-harm."

Nobel goals I think you'll agree but where it's all got a bit messy (to say the least) is Section 181, which makes it a criminal offense for 'sending a message conveying a threat of death or serious harm (punching a trans in the balls for example)." Couple this with over-zealous police who really should do better in these matters and you have gross over-reactions like we are seeing with this.

Unwieldy and impossible to regulate it most certainly is - some sort of dystopian mechanism to silence the population it isn't. But don't let facts get in the way of your pearl clutching Jonny.

And before my American friends get all self-righteous - let me give you an example of the type of people who get arrested in the UK for social media posts.

A pre-teen girl died. A Facebook memorial page was set up. A troll posted false child sex abuse messages about the father molesting the girl.

The troll - who had a record of targeting memorial pages - was arrested and jailed. Me? I'd have posted his name and address on the Internet.

When you read about people being arrested the vast majority are of this type.

You CANNOT be serious... 😳

We have an elected government you complete dunce, what are you talking about?

And - I am sure this is going to be good - how exactly have we lost our country to Islam?

You people are funny, thinking we need guns to use against our freely democratically elected government. Your country is weird.

So you are advocating for an armed uprising because you see the UK as fascist but with all the nonsense going on in the US you don't see that as fascist at all?

It's really not worth debating people like yourself who are so myopic in their views and are so ready to jump on the smallest of issues with a cry to overthrow a democratically elected party through violence.

The europeans that founded the US been thru this mess before. The UK should have amended their laws to match the united states. Then they would still be a country. Now they will just be a part of the middle east

More rubbish.

'Criminalise (UK spelling because we are British after all) comedy???? So how come I can still watch Ricky Gervais, Michael McIntyre, Stephen Fry,  Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle etc? . or watch Have I Got News for You or Mock The Week or The Mash Report?

You've talked some nonsense before Jonny but this has got to be in your Top 5.

And one last time, The bill was a Tory bill.

Hope this helps.

Not really. No.

Farage accepted an invitation to testify before a House Judiciary Committee hearing on European threats to American free speech and innovation. His opinions given there echoed those of a large tranche of British voters. Do you think he should have been muzzled??

I'd have thought you'd be trying to lock up Ricky Gervais for all his trans jokes.

It's a bad Tory bill being abused by a tyrannical Labour government.

Both of them useless. Labour far worse.

Which is why Reform will clean up.

Starmer/Rayner looking more authoritarian and less honest with each passing day. It would be funny if they weren't doing so much damage.

He was met at the gate by armed airport police from the MPS who subsequently handed him over to officers of the Met. MPS are under the command of the Met but they specifically have "airside" clearance whereas a regular Met officer would not.

Call it an inter-departmental transfer if it makes you happy.

What does MPS stand for?

So you are obviously a fan of Farage (no surprises there) so what do you think of Jamie Raskin who labelled him a "Putin-loving free speech impostor" since he's appeared on Russian TV 17 times and has openly praised Putin? Or that he has gone there to lobby the Americans to impose sanctions on the UK?

The man is a self-serving racist, who will jump on any hot topic to further his own agenda. He's a disgrace and should be barred from parliament.

If you think it was an accidental error, I have a bridge to sell you.......

Look, the main individuals in the Labour Party are all lying, vile snakes, eager to get as much for themselves as possible, and to hell with the British public.

Of course other political parties are of the same vein - I think they are all scum...

Please dont do that, lumping all Americans into the gun nutter category. I am not a freaking weirdo, and I am doing all in my power to change America away from the parody it has become under Trump and his minions.

Farage is in the top 5 influential UK politicians of this century.

A lot can happen in 75 years.

The implications to US national security of a fracture with the UK are so dire it will never be allowed to happen. Ever.

The man in Moscow would relish that.  Consider that the US and UK have not been at odds since the 19th century.  But we're living in a time of change.  The successors in the US will be much worse than the one in charge at this moment.

Not really a fan as such.

However, I am broadly aligned with many of his policies. Securing borders, the nation state, leaving the EU, leaving the ECHR etc.

The Tories failed, Labour are an absolute disgrace so I would certainly give Reform a chance.

The racist tag is just the left's usual tactic to discredit/silence him. Best ignored. Labour are terrified of his popularity and rightly so.
