It would be interesting to see how he did make his first million because when he was dodjing the lauw in Du bia his daughter now ex prim minister was looking after his 30 companies.   Don't know what the 30 companies are but i would'nt imagine that they would be crxp companies considering he is a baht billionaire an rates around the 10th row in the richest Thais list.

if you take the time just google thaskin his history is there all about how he was responsible for over 2500 deaths how he made his first million by conning the thai public and lots more    google is your friend 

As well as how to dodge the laws cunningly; skillfully finding  out and exploiting  legal loopholes for own gain?

"How I made my first million"?"

 

His first several ventures went bankrupt.

 

His first venture into selling compute equipment was mildly successful but well documented that his now ex wife was the business brains behind this and many of his ventures.

 

Later he was handed a telecoms licence to start a privately owned telecome company. The licence was a surprise gift from a scaly ruthless military general. The twist is:

 

- Only thaksin was given this license. 

- There were no bids for licences / bidding wasn't available. Just the gift to thaksin. No other person / corporation was able to get such licence for many years.

 

The company started and sold mobie phones to Thai people at very expensive prices and at very expensive rates to buy continuation of the daily operational fees for phone owners.

 

He made millions and did  very big expansion of his telcoms company. It became an empire.

 

He was now well established in Thai politics.

 

He then got an offer from Singapore to buy his whole telcoms empire for several billion US Dollars.

 

He had by now gained enough power to force changes in Thai business laws and in tax laws.

 

He sold to Singapore.
