There are extremes in both sides and they aren't the majority. There are also people who don't like Trump and are Democrats, and that doesn't make them "leftists". as that's an extreme label, "rightists" being the other extreme. There are also millions in the middle, myself being one, who look at the truth and not the bs or bias in politics. The following link has a lot of information that will help some to understand more..............Although the Right and Left have major differences that make it almost impossible for them to agree on anything, they also have certain -- if not immediately apparent -- similarities as well. In fact, they are remarkably similar for how different they are. Since these similarities are of a type that tends to make them blind to any other view, these similarities further reinforce the dichotomy between them: that is, the similarities I am about to discuss make for more differences...........................................This man elaborates on all of the thinking, and is a decent read..............https://whorulesamerica.ucsc.edu/change/left_and_right.html.

I've always sat back and watched until the whole truth came out. I dislike Trump for what character he is, and what he's done wrong, but I hope he uses that power to do some good for the average American and other countries unification, instead of distancing them from us.

Hate is kind of a worldwide phenomenon.   How many expats or people hate each other just because they come from a certain country?  Crazy times not getting better I worry for my Grandkids.

There are also those on 'the right' in certain topics and 'on the left' in others.

Why is this single event getting more attention than the MInnesota lawmakers murders? Kirk murder is done by a lunatic, and the far left obviously cultivate this as a victory, while the far right is ready for war!

There is something off here, and looking at how this single event is cultivated by the far right, shows where we are heading the next decades.

I suggest you say that to Arkansas farmers and the 100,000 aluminium workers who have lost their jobs due to tariffs, and see how you get on.

Yes, and that link I posted explains things in an unbiased way to show there are similarities between the sides and good things that both sides want. Too many label things because of hero worship, blindness or just not knowing the real truths behind both side's thinking. Those who want to grow will read it, and those that blind to the truth won't bother, as they only see one side, and make excuses for blatant bad behavior.

Ideally, the left and right should focus on healing and finding common ground, but at this point I fear that's impossible, at least until 2028.

Yes, many dislike America for some things it stands for, and they don't understand America is all countries, including theirs, in one place. Almost every problem the world has comes from prejudice, taught to children before they even know what it means,  by those also taught by ignorant parents who were also taught the same when they were kids. You leave 20 kids, all 4 years old, 10 boys and 10 girls,  of all different nationalities, and creeds on an island, with all the food they would need,  and they would all get along, besides the fights over girls later, and there would be a mix of all types, because no one has ever taught them different.

This latest incident with Charlie Kirk is bad news.

Things will get worse before they get any better.

No one will be sitting around a campfire singing Kum-ba-ya any time soon.

If that is true, then how come his approval rate continues to fall?  you seem to be driven today by the murder of the Republican conservative, we don't yet know the reason for that murder but then take into consideration the murders of the Dem elected officials a month or so ago.  I agree that the world seems to be going to crap more and more so on a daily basis.   Very few places till seem to have happy people as a majority nowadays IMHO anyway.   I can understand some of it from the US anyway, when a leader uses revenge for all actions whenever anyone one or organization makes a negative comment about that leader.  Glad I am still here in what I consider to be paradise.  Hope the political situation remains calm through any changes coming in the next six months or so.

You are an interesting case here. To me you are politically neutral but the lefties here call you MAGA because you dont show signs of trump derangement. That to me is very telling

Historically, I have to agree on which party is the more bloodthirsty. The Democratics were the party of wars and slavery, too. But, in cases where the Constitution was followed and Congress declared war, then all parties are to blame.

Wars Initiated Under Democratic Presidents:
War of 1812 – James Madison
Mexican-American War – James K. Polk
World War I – Woodrow Wilson
World War II – Franklin D. Roosevelt
Korean War – Harry S. Truman
Vietnam War – Began under Dwight D. Eisenhower (Republican), escalated under Democrats Kennedy and Johnson

Wars Initiated Under Republican Presidents:
American Civil War – Abraham Lincoln

Spanish-American War – William McKinley
Gulf War – George H. W. Bush
War in Afghanistan – George W. Bush
Iraq War – George W. Bush
(War on Terror – George W. Bush)

I have never followed politics.

I only started following around this election and all the anti-Trump folks caught my attention.

I have been defending Trump a lot, but it's mostly because I find most of the anti-Trump rants absurd.

But maybe I am also defending him too much and blinded to what he is really doing.

Suggestions in conspiracy circles are that the Charlie Kirk incident was a "false flag" ... which mean Trump would give himself power against the "radical left" ... etc ... I don't know. I really can't claim to grasp everything that's going on.

Ok, but concurrently Trump needs to stop posting and saying stupid things. Like Greenland takeover, alienating canada, and demanding the NFL team in Washington change their name, etc. etc. etc.

In other words, Trump needs to act Presidential.
