I believe he lived well by the Free speech, and might had regret some of it, if he was aware of his destiny.

Because he was so radical and we'll spoken and managed to controll the "room" he made a good living.

He paid the intimate price, not different from many others who either did what they did our of conviction, profession or just toying the limits because they could.

No risk, no consequences, no rewards

And also no consequences no guilt

A total <deleted> wit, I rest my case your honour. I was a plumbing contractor and worked in several universities in Australia. When they had rallies they must have been on substance abuse because they talked utter <deleted>. I could just imagine the USA where this would be much worse. The thing that gets to me is some of these ferals become our politicians in the future.

FACT FOCUS: Heritage Foundation leader wrong to say most political violence is committed by the left

Two years ago a team of researchers from four universities examined court records and other data relating to 3,500 extremists active in the U.S. between 1948 and 2022. The individuals were split into three groups — left wing, right wing and relating to Islamic extremism. While some in the database had committed violent acts, others had raised money for extremist groups, volunteered or spoken out in favor of them.
Right-wing extremists were just as likely to commit violent acts as those motivated by Islamic extremism, the researchers found. Left-wing extremists were a distant third.

On the campaign trail, Trump made jokes about the attack on the Pelosi's, calling her a "crazed lunatic". Son Donald Trump Jr. posted a conspiracy theory on social media.

Such is what passes for political debate in America.

"Control" is an interesting choice of words.

Did he even believe half the stuff he was saying?

Or was he just manipulating people who can't think for themselves and discern?

The irony is that he was on college campuses, and yet many college students still can't discern when bs is thrown at them.

Not familiar with his body of work, but he is coming across as a fake cult leader.

I only seen his more decent work, but recently because of his death, became more aware of his more radical side.

He was obviously a popular young political and religious social media phenomenon.

There is a few more to the left same as him as well upcoming to.

Kirk obviously had his fans here on this forum to

Why is this single event getting more attention than the MInnesota lawmakers murders? Kirk murder is done by a lunatic, and the far left obviously cultivate this as a victory, while the far right is ready for war!

Charlie Kirk has no power over anyone and was holding public discussion over political topics. He was basically murdered for having the wrong opinion. Because this was political in nature it opens the possibility for retaliation. It's a total disaster and if it spirals out of control it's the end of civil discourse.

Kirk was just getting good to and beginning to question Americas relationship with Israel and the civil rights act. He doesn't say anything I don't already know but he was influencing young people. Probably why he was murdered.

Right-wing extremists were responsible for the great majority of extremist-related murders over the decade 2011–2020.

That list is filled with nonsense.

Disgruntled father shooting a judge isn't political.

Neo-Nazis shooting each other isn't political either. If that's the bar then all gang violence should be in this list too.

Civil discourse died nearly ten years ago, when Trump started spewing out nicknames such as Crooked Hilary, Sleepy Joe Biden, Lying Ted Cruz etc. etc.

Ad hominem attacks are one of the most dishonest forms of argument. The fact it is now part of the American fabric demonstrates how low that country has sunk.

Attacks from posters who don't like facts and prefer beliefs is quite common on ASEAN.

It is utterly unacceptable to suggest that a scholar from the left would resort to improper categorization to advance a political agenda. Such an accusation is not only unfounded; it borders on blasphemy.

‘Radicalized’ Evergreen High School shooter appeared to hold antisemitic, violent views in online accounts

EVERGREEN — The 16-year-old boy who shot two students and then himself at Evergreen High School this week appeared to espouse white supremacist views online and showed an interest in mass shooters in the days before the attack.

Social media accounts that appear to be connected to shooter Desmond Holly are littered with references to mass shootings and antisemitic views, The Denver Post found.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jacki Kelley on Thursday said Desmond had been “radicalized through an extremist network,” but declined to offer any additional details. The public accounts offer some insight into what that radicalization might have included.

Some of his ideas are crazy.

And he seems deliberately antagonistic, like he's put there to add fuel to the fire.

They are justing putting these people there to cater to the lowest common denominator.

No one actually cares about real issues being solved. People enjoy fighting left vs right.

Well said @fredwiggy..........and it's something I've been wanting to post for quite some time so now you have done it for me and I would like to add something to this part of your post

Although I'm often labelled a "leftie" because I am in no way, shape or form a fan of Trump, but then again I was never overenthusiastic about Biden, and I consider myself just right of centre as regards political affiliations.

I am not what they call "woke" and I believe there are only two genders, male and female, and do not agree with teaching children about transgender "theory", and on that same subject I'm not in favour of transgender athletes competing against those born male, or female.

YET, any poster here who criticises the antics, nonsense and lies of Trump, is labelled as "left", even though in theory they/we are moderates.

And anyone who thinks the USA needs borders and doesn't want the "woke" agenda is labeled Maga. Funny that huh.

Fan of Trump? What does that even mean. You don't have to like him. You can't sit on the fence any longer, without Trump the southern border would be reaching new numbers daily, DEI and affirmative action would rule our lives, boys and men in female sports. Men in the locker room with your daughters and wives.
