Today, I have the Great Honor of bringing a $15 Billion Dollar Defamation and Libel Lawsuit against The New York Times," Trump said in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. "The New York Times has been allowed to freely lie, smear, and defame me for far too long, and that stops, NOW!" he added.

We all know Trump has never lied / defamed someone - LOL Trump uses his Office as a bully pulpit (he's a coward 'cause he knows the Supreme Count has given him  carte blanche. But clearly unsuited to represent the Office of the President of the USA.

They can sue just as he can, so why haven't they (apart from the freak E Jean Carroll whose suit will be overturned in due course)?

If lying disqualifies a person from being the President, there'd be no historical Presidents, simple 1.

you must have only a black and white TV.

So the two standout examples will be the WSJ birthday card he claims he never wrote or signed, and the 'Man of the Year award' that he never received, but insists he did.

Can't wait for all this to go to court.

Hey, shoot for the stars and settle for the moon.  He sued CBS for $$ billions and settled for $16 million.

Not a bad day's work.  Got his point across, put the fear of God (and bankruptcy) into them and got a few $$ mill for a worthy cause.

I wouldn't mind an extra $16 million into my retirement account.

He didn't get 16 million in the CBS suit, 15 million will be given to his future presidential library. Seems you are good at lying as your hero

Sulzberger won't back down that's for sure......so Trump has a fight on his hands.......one he is very unlikely to win.

Then a couple of years later, in a Georgia courtroom, J Alex Haldeman showed that Fox was right.  The Dominion machines could be hacked.  With just a BIC pen and a $5 USB chip.

Refer to my post:  got a few $$ mill for a worthy cause.

That's his presidential library.

I didn't lie.  But you did demonstrate a deficiency in reading comprehension.

Maybe Biden should sue someone.  I hear he's having a tough time raising the funds for his presidential library.

Actually, quite the opposite.

Biden’s campaign reported raising a whopping $127 million in June 2024, including over $30 million in just the few days following his debate with Trump. That surge came despite widespread concern over his performance, suggesting that grassroots donors are still backing him strongly.

He showed that old machines were hackable and therefore new machines where installed. Those new machines where fabricated by Dominion an installed before !!! the 2020 elections.

So you are lying.

If Trump must sue a newspaper, then.....

I just wish he would sue The Washington Post.

But, I would increase the amount to 30 Billion.

BOZO can afford to pay more.

Yeah, Harris burned through every penny of his war-chest,

It is amusing how some of the leftists that know nothing of US politics think Biden could use campaign donations to build his library. Morons.

Nice try:

Georgia election officials have been aware of existing vulnerabilities in the state’s voting software for more than two years but continue to insist the system is safe and won’t be updated until after 2024, according to a report that was unsealed this week as part of a controversial court case in Georgia.

Dominion Voting Systems last year updated its software in response to the attack scenarios described by the report’s author, a University of Michigan computer scientist named J. Alex Halderman.

But Georgia has not implemented the recommended security patch and state officials said they are waiting to do so until after 2024.

God, you know it's bad when even CNN says the machines were vulnerable.  BTW, did Dominion sue CNN?  Doubt it...

On one hand, they make it so easy to prove that they're morons.  OTOH, it is frustrating to try to have an intelligent discussion with morons about stuff they think they know.  But they don't.  And you can't convince them that they don't

You need to keep up...

Former President Joe Biden is facing significant challenges in fundraising for his planned presidential library, as many of his previous major donors have either declined to contribute or are offering only modest amounts. This situation has emerged as Biden looks to establish his library by 2025, a key initiative for his legacy.

That's an article in Demstate.com from this week.  Not a stale link from 2024.

And just 2 days ago from New Zealand:

Biden struggling to find donors willing to fund his presidential library

More than half a dozen past Biden fundraisers and contributors told NBC News on Saturday they have little interest in donating. While many said they hold no personal animosity toward Biden, they cited a mix of frustrations—including lingering anger over his failed re-election bid and dissatisfaction with his inner circle.

“I want an $800,000 refund,” said Florida-based personal injury lawyer John Morgan, referring to money he raised for Biden that was redirected to Kamala Harris after she replaced Biden as the Democratic nominee in 2024.

https://dailytelegraph.co.nz/

BTW, I'd want a refund, too if I donated to Biden's campaign and the money went to Kamala's.  I'd hate to be accused of supporting a coup.

Btw... "The New York Times Company's 'net worth' is best represented by its market capitalization, which was approximately $9.59 billion USD as of September 12, 2025."

Great. A President abuses the office for his own gain. Before Trump became President he had an almost unbroken history of waging lawfare in libel cases. He never had a good case. But what he did have was the funds to inflict damage on those he chose to pursue. In the case of CBS, itg was seeking government approval  to transfer its license as part of a sale.

You may want to clarify what you got and from whose bio.

CNN says the Dominion machines used by Georgia were vulnerable through the 2024 election.  Georgia officials knew it and did nothing to fix it.  It's all in the CNN article.

Or are we still doing that thing where one of us makes a statement and the other one posts something nonsensical and unrelated?

Hot flashes.

Your turn.

Sorry to dissapoint you will but Harris blew it all on her presidential campaign, end of story

Before he became President, Trump had almost an unbroken record in failing to succeed in defamation cases. The only one he won was by default as the person sued never showed up for trial. The fact is Trump has a history of waging lawfare against financially weaker parties in order to punish them by imposing heavy legal costs in baseless cases. In the case of CBS  he was exploiting the fact that he is President and is able to pressure these companies which depend on the government licenses.

Jonathan Turley who has been very supportive of Trump in legal cases brought against him wrote this:

Turley wrote in his blog post that while he agrees "with the criticism of the media, including CBS, in the bias shown in the election," the lawsuit "would be legally groundless," and "would fail," adding that "the media is allowed to engage in such editing."

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-cbs-lawsuit-threat-entirely-unnecessary-jonathan-turley-1971829

The NY Times and the Wall Street Journal don't need govt licensing and have the financial resources to adequately combat Trump's lawfare.
