Soccer everywhere I go

Featured Replies

I rarely leave my Airbnb condo as I'm writing studies

This morning I decided to go into Soi Bukhao to have a beautiful breakfast for 99 baht

I won't say the name of the restaurant but it's very good Except please ...horrounduos English soccer or football as they call it blaring on the TV

I'm not from the UK I can't stand this boring game

I looked at all these older guys all with funny accents going on about Arsenal or whatever their soccer teams are ...I'm sure they don't like it

I left without finishing my breakfast

Am.i only only person who can't stand watching this ?

Surely you people from the UK should be following the Australian NRL it's more exciting than some bloke kicking a ball and a upper class posh voice announcing it

Absolutely boring ,I apologised to the staff and paid for my big 99 baht breakfast and left !!!

Can we perhaps have a place without English soccer showing

I'm calling BS. Unless they were repeats, Premier League football started at 1830 yesterday with the last games were at 2100.  And I'm sure you can find PLENTY of places that don't play the footb

And, why do they have to play it so LOUD!!  Early in the morning, trying to enjoy a nice quiet breakfast in the village and have to listen to that, and all these old geezers that don’’t buy anything, just jump up and down yelling, screaming.  I look for nice resturants without a huge big screen TV,nit my neighborhood place I always thoroughly enjoyed meals in.    Oh,I don’t care about American Football either, so its not only Soccer.

It's just as bad in Australia during this time with Aussie bogans with tattoos and beer in hand watching the football 🏈

And I'm sure you can find PLENTY of places that don't play the football, but being a cheap charlie also wanting to only pay 99 THb for breakfast, perhaps limits your options.

So you don't like low class bogans with tattoos and neither do you like posh high class announcers.

So what do you like then?

What do you get for 99 Baht? Half an egg and half a toast?

There are plenty of restaurants that DON'T have football blaring on the boob tube. Suggest you find one.

You suggest? Your "suggestions" have been wrong in the past that's why you were a shame to your family

Did they perhaps "suggest" wrong too that you failed ?

Oh please

Did I say British??  The Thais are just as feverish about Football as anyone else, as for where it is??  Read my profile.

It was difficult to decipher your post.  Apologies, but you never did answer my question. Where is that frustrates you so early in the morning?

Christ, what bug crawled up YOUR arse? Are you such a Cheap Charlie that the thought of spending more than 99 baht for breakfast slams your sphincter shut and forces you to throw a really REALLY stupid insult? 555!

Moo Baan 6, Bang Sarae nice quiet place near the sea, usually.   Mostly a Thai vacation getaway, but there are Farang here as well.

I'm not saying I couldn't eat that but would much rather pay a bit more and have a decent meal.

I'd rather have a Thai omelet with steamed rice myself.

Never seen English soccer in Pattaya

Does it come from socks?

And the Americans carry some egg and call it football :cheesy:

Some people only want a light breakfast, that was good value for 99bt.

And the Oz gay guys prance around in pretty sleeveless shirts and call it football too! What ya going to do with these deluded colonials?

Find somewhere with cricket recordings on the tv. A nice, quiet game for pensioners.

Fair play. I’d be happy with that.
and no baked beans for the Twitter police to get enraged about!

( for those scratching your heads, they kick off every time someone posts a brekker pic, where the beans are touching the egg/ sausage/bacon et al)

Beans are in the bowl, just below the tomato sauce, which I then poured over the egg, bacon and sausage

Yes, breakfast by yourself.

Maybe the misanthropic OP should explore this option too.

"Misanthropic" ... beautiful word that I will add to my list

At first it sounded like a throat condition

""""A misanthropic person tends to avoid social interaction or believes that humans are selfish, corrupt, or disappointing."""'

That's me 😅

There is sausage(s) somewhere there? That plate seems to be lacking few ingredients.

The fancy name for the bowl the beans go in is' Ramekin', Heinz on offer at Big-CX for 69 baht!

The plate is just what I wanted for 99bt, no interest in the name of a bowl. I suggest a visit to the opticians if you can't see too well.

A Thai omelette with steamed rice should cost less than 99bt, not more.
