So you take the girl out of the bar. Now what?

Featured Replies

It is very common in Thailand for customers to fall for the Ladies of the Night much like in the Hollywood hit Pretty Woman.

So then jealousy kicks in and you don’t want her out there plying her trade every night being soiled by hundreds of men.

So you pay her monthly not to work in the sex industry.

So now what? Should she get a normal job? Or can she just have a life of pleasure living it up?

Most women work nowadays.

This setup is going back in time.

Only problem is if the man gets abusive, then the woman has to extricate herself and go back to the bars.

Or in one case, the bar girl said her farang bf/husband was going on a downward spiral with drugs, so back in the bar she went.

Find one that can work

More often than not. I watch the deterioration of newbies with a fascination commensurate to the greed of the few local farang bars.

Most of their kids don't even speak English.

She’ll work as a begging conduit for her family while working him over for baht, that’s her new job.

Even my decent salary of 60-75,000 hardly permits "a life of pleasure living it up", especially as two boys become teens.

You have to put her to work. You cannot leave a woman to her own devices. She will get bored and frustrated with life unless she believes she's doing something worthwhile and is entertained.

Living it up will work for a while, but it will get boring for her eventually.

So ideally you should map out a never ending project for her that puts her energies to work, to ensure she is not bored.

Boredom is the greatest  danger.

Taking her out of that environment and putting her into a stable one, with money to use instead of having to do the horizontal mambo for it with countless (possibly) men who have all done a number on her psyche, might last years or weeks, depending on how long she's been in the trade and how it affected her thinking.

You will always be another john to her, even though you took her out, and that thinking might have her actually miss that lifestyle, which will be a shambles with your relationship with her now. If she has been abused by men, which many have, she will take that fear into your relationship and it will cause anxiety, with her looking at you also as a potential abuser. Any sign of control will exacerbate that thinking.

Some have done it for just a short time, and are dying to get out and be taken care of, just like any other women, but you'll only know in time. If she never had a legitimate job before, can she adapt to that or even want to work? If she just wants to stay home, expect her to be bored in time and even if she doesn't return to the bars, she might return to other men behind your back, which will also ruin what you have.

You can have troubles with women who have never worked in bars, so there's no guarantee either way, but the odds of that relationship being normal are far less than with a woman that hasn't been with so many men, especially for pay.  If you're capable of finding a woman who hasn't been working in bars, there's a much better likelihood of it lasting longer without those things on her, and your mind.

That's so 1950s!

Somewhere along the way in the last 60-70 years, women realized they have every right to test themselves and be the best they can be in whatever they decide to do. Imagine that! Equality.

The wives of the uber wealthy work. It's not Leave it to Beaver anymore. Former female colleagues of mine made 7-8 $figure incomes. I think that qualifies as "wealthy". When they chose to get together with a man, they planned their future life together---if she would work, if they would raise a family, etc. She did not need her spouse for his money, but for his love and emotional support.

Weak man have trouble accepting that. They prefer a dependent partner whose dependency is his source of pride and self-respect. Equality scares him, because he's actually insecure. Such men ought to try real love and support, and try embarking on a journey together of true respect and equality.

Now could it happen with a bargirl? I don't see why not. She probably has dreams, too, and wants to be the best "her" her skills and talents allow. Maybe she just needs a boost to be able to get the education or training she needs to become what she wants to be.

No, I do not have a bargirl partner. I would not be against it, however, if I met someone, shared similar goals, and vetted her enough to know she both has ambition and can be believed. Every fully functioning human being, male or female, bargirl or normie, wants to live a rewarding life. The most interesting people---which is to say potential partners---want to challenge themselves and find out just how far their skills and talents can take them in this short life. Yes, that attitude might even exist is a bargirl.

If you get hitched up with a bar girl, you can ask her if she wants to get training in sth, like hairdresser.

Then you can support her in that. Training is not even that expensive.

But some may be very ambitious ... ie want to open a restaurant. Then it's risky.

Equality would be me having the option to stay at home and have a wife support me!

Why is equality never for men?

An ex neighbour of mine in the UK was exactly this - child care was too expensive, the woman was earning more than the man, so the man stayed home to look after the children.   The guy got lots of 💩 from other children's mothers at the school gate (and behind his back), pathetic.  It worked really well for the children, they grew up to be truly decent young humans.

If you take from a bar send her to school and have her get a job in massage.  That is safe no problem.

You want a former bar girl just do what you want?

There is a reason why girls chooses or ended up in the «bar» industry in the first place, and by the ignorant tread starter indicates every bar girl is the same no matter where they worked, background, level of people skills, intelligence, mental health, stimulant and alchohol abuse, and how long they worked, as well amount of abuse they had experienced.

Quite a interesting broad field of many combinations where if you are curious and interested in people in general, some girls could maybe impress a few of you.

first hand rule, would be never take the girl out of the bar, but if you intend to do, know what you dealing with, and your idea of a good life, maybe not the same for the girl or the woman.

Good luck

I think that not being good at school was the start of the slope that lead them into the bar in the first place.

They ain’t no rocket scientists in the bars.

And I think massage would be the last job you would want to reform a bar girl into.

They have no morals, they would be doing happy endings at every opportunity.

Mine was just lazy, if fact after the event she admitted she only married me because I looked like I had lots of money, and she though she might be able to take some off me. But in the end, she stayed with me because she no longer needed to think at all, everything was provided.

I sent mine to high school, and then university.

Don't really like the idea of her wa#king off 8 other guys a day.

High schools start at 13 years old .

Didn't anyone at the school question why she had a much  older boyfriend ?

You must have been 40 years older than her

Even worse, when she was breast feeding, she used to take baby with her to high school.

They used to pass him around the class in the lessons. During her finals, the teacher looked after him in the exam room.

Then when she had stopped breast feeding and started university, I used to take him into town with me on the scooter. We'd go around the bars, and the bar girls would snatch him off me the moment I entered, and fight each other to hold and cuddle him, he's probably squeezed more Thai girls tits than I have.
