  • No...the picture is of a SHISH kebab/kebap/kebob/kabab. I don't know what a 'kabob' is. Likely some weird bastardization by the Americans.   Note the emphasis on SHISH. Shawarma is something

I buy them because they are popular, meaning that the meat and other ingredients are fresh 🙂

Kababist, Theppraya Road. Almost directly across from the entrance to View Talay 2A and 2B.

There was a guy selling chicken kebabs out front of Eakmongkol 4, on khoa Talo.

I haven't had a kabab in ages but I remember his were big, very nice after a few beers

My favorite is opposite Duck Bar on Khaotalo

We probably mean same guy.

There used to be a place in the lobby of the Charlie Hotel(?) on Dianna near Buakhao that made excellent chicken. At first I thought it was owned by an Arab but it turned out to be an Israeli.  The place was always full of shabby old men who chain smoked and spoke in a strange tongue. I still can't tell an Arab from a Jew, but both make fine kebabs and shawarma.

At least you have changed one of Nicky's vowels. Now the first a to e and off we go.

Note the emphasis on SHISH. Shawarma is something completely different, as is felafel. Kebabs are traditionally MEAT.  Shawarma is the shaved meat, Some will call it Doner. Felafel of course is vegetarian and deep fried, so nothing really to do with kebab, but can be served with the traditional side dishes such as hummus and pickles etc

Few will have the correct ingredients.

Tried it once for a curry. Average. I'll have to give the Kebabs a go.

MJ food truck down the road is ok for a scoff after a few beers.

Pasha has the Doener original Berlin style.

It was offered in Berlin many years ago, when it still wasn't available in Turkey .

Whoever put a 'thumbs down' to my post is only demonstrating their ignorance, to themselves. Why not rebut in your own words if you disagree? Morons :)

Wow..getting so worked up over a thumb..🤫

No @couchpotato Not the emoji, but the inability to communicate. In other words, no problem with the emoji, but follow up with an explanation.

But there is none, so obviously just an idiot.

Pasha goes ok, Glad they recently opened near me.... now to convince them to serve me up a Halal Snack Pack.

Thanks. Do you know if it moved somewhere else? The food was excellent and the slim Thai lady who sold it was very pleasant to deal with.

This is from Pasha - very mid

Only nice part there is glass covering the meats as most other places you're eating street dust and exhaust fume seasoning
