America Will Be the Last Superpower, Here’s Why

Featured Replies

It's the geography baby.

Going much the way of British Empire, and the mighty Spanish Armada of days past.

The 'heavy hand' approach isn't working any more.   So many regime changes done & dusted, everyone under the 'central banking' umbrella, and trade so intertwined with each other, war doesn't benefit anyone.

Just the threat of, enough to boost defense contracts, to keep the economies going.   While also being the ultimate downfall, for USA, as the financial drain of corruption and playing the world police force is just too much to bear on the tax payer.

Other trade alliances, chipping away at the USA's control of food as political leverage to influence policy of other countries.

Yanks too arrogant and ignorant of their relevance, as empires of the past, to realize, they simply don't matter any more.  Now that other countries don't need them, and starting realize, they never had any friends anyway.

While being distracted by all they think is important, or told so, the unseen tyranny from within is taking control.

Luckily, I won't be around to witness the inevitable demise of what could have been.

Didn't actually watch the vid in OP, just my thoughts on 'superpowers'

Maybe last "controlling "superpower.

The unfortunate risk is that the accumulated wealth of the relative poor will continue to be eroded and assimilated into the black holes created in the shift to digital existence created by mandated compliance to AI .

A digital Super Clique  ?

what is it with right wingers and their reliance on videos? Is there some sort of massive case of dyslexia that affects them. I'm sure that Donald Trump sure loves those victims who don't read the fine print. Or don't read to learn at all, for that matter.

Because it shows how rationality and serious discourse have pretty much shriveled on the right.

What about China and the other axis powers in BRICs...they will rise and rise...and Trump has agitated more of an alliance in them due to the tariffs bitchslapping events.

That's comical coming from a leftie.

The final superpower will be China. Mainly due to Trump's withdrawing from all the soft power good will that has kept the US at the top. And once the Chinese get to the top, you won't get them out. Better start learning Chinese (mandarin, cantonese, etc)

The video is focusing on "access to maritime trade/oceanic protection concerning invasions". Unfortunately, this is only 1 of many factors that makes a country a superpower. Like it or not, the US and China will emerge as the remaining 2 superpowers. But the world is too small for 2 superpowers. A economical/military "high noon" is likely to occur.

Next is China.

Look up the "belt and road initiative" in progress, Asia merges with Africa as China's bloc,

But there will be revolt, as nations that have already experienced colonialism can see what is going on.  Already the locals can see the opulent living of the Chinese entrepreneurs while their wages are a pittance and of course there is animosity.

I don't think this will work (in Africa, at least) without China exerting military force.  Even now, when you hear of a war in Africa, the reflexive thought should be "where is China on this?"

As for Asia, word is China has secured (and helped construct) a land connection from PRC to Karachi. giving China shipping lanes that do not require them to navigate around Indo-China.  I'm sure driving a container transport across the Karakorum Highway can be deadly, but it's a start.

The next superpower will be AI, then we will all be in deep do-do.
