They do have a point about Langkawi, but Bangkok is much nicer than KL, and good luck gettng a naked massage in KL, you can't.

The other problem in Malaysia is the religious and racial segregation and sometimes its overzealous policing, and not by official authorities at that. There has been reports that tourists were "harassed" and reprimanded in Langkawi for wearing shorts.

 

 

 

Even in Spain they Harass tourists because of dress code or lack of, so it is not only in Muslim countries, and could easily be practiced more in Thailand as well. Maybe not in the red light districts, but in general.

KL is such a great city with great international food, one of the better. Naked massage now? Im sure you can still get it in China Town,

Contrary I am not one out of special interest, but I will not be allowed entering USA at the moment! 

 

There is some things everyone should be aware if travelling to different countries, and not expose the true self. 

 

I haven’t heard about anyone been arrested in a muslim country for just being gay, or gay couples being harassed. Im sure it have happened but still

Just because you never heard of it does not mean it does not happen. Even an ex Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim was jailed for sodomy, first for 9 years and ending up with 5 It's punishable by death in 14 muslim countries and illegal in the rest

As said, there is many countries who do have some certain laws and rules we all have to obey, and Thailand is of no difference with the lese majeste law. 

 

The world is constantly changing for the better and worse. Muslim countries seems to change for the better, while some places in the west changing for the worse

I would have to agree that Malaysia has way more beautiful places than Thailand. The same place as we're in Thailand they'd be exploited by prostitutes thousands of boats scammers.

I'm not talking about a seedy joint in China Town, I'm talking the real qualified masseuses in the top spas. There is not a single top spa that will let you do a full body massage with your shorts off, they insist on you wearing some under garment made of the material we use for the garbage bags here.

 

Yes, you can get good food in KL, but on food both Bangkok and Chiang Mai have KL beat, hands down.

It is a problem, it's just not a good look to see all these women in head scarves, then you have tonnes of these Saudis, Nigerians, Kuwaitis, who ruin all the best airbnb with their extended families.

 

It feels unsafe on the streets of KL. Not my vibe.

Yep i picked up the women didn't want to wear head scarfs, in shops only wore them when someone entered

It's prostitution central in KL, lots of Thai prostitutes as well. Very seedy feel to many parts of KL. 

 

Feels a lot more like sex tourist hotspot than Pattaya or Bangkok.

Thailand's lese majeste law, is at least not rooted in racism and extreme religionism. Even traffic accidents posted on social media turn into acidic racial arguments. At least there is no racism and extreme religionism in Thailand.

I wouldn't know, I had a Malaysian gf, but my friend who worked there explained the prostitution scene to me, and it seemed like there was  decent opportunities

Because some have no self awareness and think they can do whatever they want. But it is not suitable everywhere in Thailand where more conservative Thais frequently visits. Some do have an hard time to differ between western holiday places and the rest of Thailand who is not anything compared to Pattaya or Patong. Same goes for their major clients from abroad
