I don't think it was a lucky guess.... more like a set-up

I had the same thing happen to me, but I was able to run out because the attacker tripped. I did a thread on it a couple weeks ago.

 

It was a jealous dude and not a setup. She was contacted by the other guy while they were in there and answered the phone. He figured out where they were and showed up.

 

Using other people's rooms is very dangerous. You are a sitting duck in there, trapped in an enclosed space. I recommend not using other people's rooms you do not know well.

Good point. And one I have been trying to make for many years now. I don't want this to sound like an anti-Muslim rant, because I have a number of Muslim friends and I know a lot of very decent Muslim people. But I do remember being in India oh so long ago, and a local guy was going on and on about having just gotten with a American woman who was visiting the region. He asked me why are American women such whores, and my answer to him was why are you such a whore? He was absolutely astonished and said what are you talking about men can't be whores. Being it happened in Pattaya. I would lean towards the scam part. Woman goes to bar, negotiates price and gets paid, then goes to room and BF barges in and takes her out before any consummation occurs. Seems more feasible since the BF apparently knew where to find his GF. Which room even. 

Plenty of apps now which show the location of family members. I use one for my kid.
