There are valid reasons the US gets into some wars, and you're living in freedom because they did. England tried this with some countries and learned a hard lesson from the US. Rome also, although the US wasn't involved. As far as the problem in Venezuela, it isn't about starting a war with them but trying to stop the incessant drug trafficking, which isn't easy to do because US citizens are buying some of the drugs. A radical approach is better than what's been happening before. You take away the cartels money and resources it's harder for them to stay in business. I don't agree with Trump and some of his agenda but he is trying to help Americans with obvious problems, and it'll take time to see if all of what he's doing will help or hurt the US.

The borders were never actually "open" at anytime. Illegals are and have been arrested, daily, and there are thousands that still come in and have been all along that no one sees. I lived there 32 years, and visit yearly, and have 2 adult children and many friends still there. I sold guns to border patrol agents and would talk to them when they were in about what went on, as well as hunting South Texas for years and seeing illegals crossing all the time.
