It might be of interest to ALL posters here. Especially for those that are planning to enter the US, having posted some negative comments about the current administration.
The question: Who can read my posts outside of AN? I think this is a legitimate question, concerning ALL ASEAN NOW contributors.

The question is moot.  I've got the receipts and there are more than a few posters here whose goose is truly cooked. 🔪🪿🔥🍽

From the OP link:

“The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans,” the department said. “The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk.”

The revocations followed earlier warnings from Secretary of State Marco Rubio that foreigners on visas praising Kirk’s death should “prepare to be deported.”

It is not that difficult to find members in here who posted messages encouraging harm to US citizens. Simply google and you will see posts from AN there. Then all you need to do it join to read them. I am most certain there are agencies monitoring all comments posted and stories posted in here from members. That is why AN is so strict about their rules on posting things about the royalty in Thailand.

It's been widely believed for years that U.S. and Australian law enforcement agents have monitored the Thailand-based "adult-oriented" forums, especially those in Pattaya.  The concern has been posts about ch*ld pr*stiti*n and p*rnogr*phy as well as human trafficking. However, it's not that easy to trace the real-life identity of a poster who has taken steps to hide his identity on such a forum.

Virtually all of those who run into trouble with law enforcement in any country over social media content have posted under their real names or accounts which can be revealed with a subpoena.  It would take a very credible and serious threat for a U.S. agent to react to a post on AN and I'm sure the mods would take down such a post in minutes if not seconds.  There are millions and millions of posts all over the Internet that basically say, "I don't like Donald Trump,"  so that type of post is no worry.

Some background information:

Federal Government Social Media Surveillance, Explained

Social media has become a significant source of information for U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies for purposes ranging from conducting investigations to screening travelers.

Your post is going to have a few trying to remember all the things they posted here. Good people need not worry though

The soapbox dribble can basically be read by every internet user who has a browser.

Quite naive questions here.

Who is swissie?

Passport nr?

If this can be found then your Hawaiian holidays are dumped.

You can only try to make it as hard as possible to find your real identity.

And that is not an easy task!

I could really scare a few members if I described the intensity with which the Mossad monitors social media,  cheesy.gif.8399e1c45ec3d1071f5bb05dfad01108.gif

What has law enforcement in the UK been doing other than monitoring social media

I've heard the Mossad called a lot of things, but "nincompoops" isn't one of them.

I think you are being a bit harsh in your second sentence.  I would change "most" to "some."

I would be slightly perturbed if I thought that a member of this board was "collecting receipts" with a view to informing on others; might I suggest a more productive hobby such as building model trains?

What sane person (apart from fascists and Neo-Nazis) would want to go to the USA at this time?

What would be wrong with advising the authorities of existential threats and terrorist supporters.

I can safely say I have zero intention, desire, or want to ever visit The United States of America.

Fortunately, too much apathy here. They are just imagining how important they would feel IF they did.

We are now getting a glimpse into the thinking of the same sort of people who turned in Ann Frank.

What rational person would? I'm an American and I have zero intention, desire, or want to ever visit The United States of America again! Certainly not until the Rule of Law and Due Process once again take their place in the American justice system.

Oh how far the USA has fallen and how discouraging so many of you support this. Once lauded for it's 1st amendment and freedom of speach, it's ever quickening decline into autocracy is aptly demonstrated with this ridiculous action from the State Department - it's freedom of speach but only if the speach suits our agenda. And as a reminder:-

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Sorry, but running away may be your style. It's not mine.

It's not for Americans.

Americans will fight for what we believe in, even if we have to do it from afar. We WILL return the Rule of Law and Due Process once again to take their place in the American justice system.
