You might want to do an audit on the royal family and get back to us on that.  Wealthy people aren't stupid: they write the tax codes then structure their revenue so that only a minimal amount is taken as income. Other sources are taxed at very favourable rates, if at all. 

 

How are their lands and other holdings taxed?  They're parasites and should be stripped of their ill gotten wealth and be forced to return to the office or the fields.

Deal with Andrew and don't go off on a tangent. Andrew pays income tax and other than his military pension which he  paid ionto and  qualifies for like any other military veteran, does not receive taxpayer money. Andrew does not own profit land. Nor is he particularly wealthy with an estimated  net worth of £4.1 million.

 

How about you  tell us what his revenue is and what he owns rather than what you imagine he has.

It is more cost effective to pay a settlement and to be over and done with the  case.  The legal fees were growing and the case would have dragged on. The Queen's jubilee was imminent. The claims were an  embarrassment.A settlement was reached and there was no finding or admission of wrongdoing.
