New Relationship Trend - Women leaving men in old age

not aware of same elsewhere) if you live with a woman for 12+ months, you are technically married - Yep - and they have rights to some of  your property and wealth if there is a break up.

I worked with a young woman who moved in with her bf (who she believed owned his house). She said "six months longer and the house is mine".  She got a nasty surprise when she tried to cash in. The house belonged to his parents and she left with what she brought: no money and a foul attitude.

Some guys in the West actually use that as a tactic to avoid losing everything in divorce.

Ie put large chunks of money in family member's names.

If you have assets worth protecting best to do a Prenup. I wonder if these are recognized in Thailand?

The benefit of a rented house, obviously you never let on it's rented.

I worked with a guy who was in his 40's, fit, handsome and with a house and money. He used his house as bait, had his fun with the women whilst feeding their fantasies of being above the other women their age (most were in their 20s). He didn't let them stay in his house for more than a weekend and cast them aside when the thrill was gone. The women knew the score and moved on to the next guy.

I don't think you need them here.  I knew an expat whose bar girl (whore,) wife took a run at his condo. He went to court and was treated fairly, with the judge even scolding the young trollop.  She left with what she brought but got to keep the gold he bought her.

He was an old fool, but God and the Thai courts watched over him.  He was a retired professional teacher and ended up in charge of a school in Laos, only to die under mysterious circumstances with his Lao wife as the sole beneficiary.

As far as I know, any assets you have in your home country the Thai courts can't go after you if you marry and then divorce a local.

A lot of guys on here would know much better than me.

You mentioned last year that she was a bar girl. Is this correct. Why do you not mention it in this post. Please edit and add this information. thanks

Don't be too hard on him. He forgets what he has posted previously. And has also forgotten that what you do or say on social media stays around for a very, very long time.

No, not at all. And I've never been to a girlie bar in my life.

I'm dating and the cream will rise to the top.

As do turds.

Not so easy to do in old age. You probably have one house, one or maybe two small pensions. Splitting in half doesn't leave much. Maybe OK for the one who goes to Thailand but half for a life in the UK? But i agree if you are not happy better off apart.

Why ask? It’s not anything you need to be concerned about.

There are a LOT of gold diggers these days because the laws benefit them and allow it, and when they are 'caught' they are rarely if ever charged with fraud or anything else.  Those things are going to change - men and good women have had enough.

I think the older generation has this attitude, once she grows old, and we're together 19 years, she's my "person" and that's it. But it looks like the newer generations will not have this atitude anymore.

And this will get much, much worse. If you think about it a whole generation has been raised on FC24, and when you're losing the game, you just quit. And start a new game. For girls, if I'm tired of this guy on Insta, I'll write to this one.

Indeed the loyalty and devotion of the past seems to be on the way out.

Definitely

Me and my wife really thought we would be together forever.

At 73, woman will be definitely less lustful for me, and more pragmatic all around.

That’s less hot, and that sucks, but is still deal able;  past 75, many fewer will wanna get on board my love train.

It's not all about money. Women don't actually care for money. No woman ever said "He wears a Versace shirt, I must have him" or "He drives a BMW, now I will give myself to him". It just doesn't happen. Women care for fun. And money facilitates fun. To that extent money has importance. But there's many other things you need to be to get with a 10 today, that is in the 18 to 25 age range. Money is not enough by far. Provided you satisfy a minimum threshold, and can provide fun experiences, you're good. It's other things that matter. If you have money but smell bad, are generally an ahole and are boring, your odds of having a a girl are zero, even if you have a billion dollars. Whores excepted of course.

So no chance for you than!

relationships need to last years in order to be considered successful.

a few dates is not a major accomplishment.

everyone is nice and everything is easy when there is fancy restaurant and you're getting to know each other.

Of course it's an accomplishment. It's incredibly hard to get a date with a woman.

Let alone a 25 year old beautiful well educated woman who speaks good English.
