Trump embarrassed on world stage as Chinese leader delivers fact

The claim that Trump 'lied' about saving 'millions of lives' is a classic fact.

About 50 people died in the Thai–Cambodian conflict — not 'millions saved'.
Calling that 'diplomatic language' isn't nuance; it's spin.

Your logic word salad on full display:
Appeal to Hypothetical Consequences 'It could have spiraled into millions.'
No source ever said that — pure what-if fiction.
False Dichotomy 'Not a lie, just diplomacy.'
A diplomatic lie is still a lie.
Straw Man 'Critics ignored what he averted.'
No one said he caused the war — only that he inflated the outcome.
Appeal to Authority 'Reuters, UN, Nobel nod.'
Name-dropping to prop up an empty point.

Ad Hominem 'Lazy partisanship.'
Insulting critics instead of answering facts.

Confirmation Bias 'Keeping only the flattering parts, discarding the rest.'
Cherry-picking praise, dumping proof.

Fifty died — and one man still found a way to make it about himself.

Trump is itching for a Nobel Peace medal and will do anything, including stretching the truth, to garner this award.

between my wife and I we got about $5000 USD, some went to saving some was invested.  Allot of people used the money for vacations or buying stuff they didn't really need but wanted!

You had the option of returning the money if you felt that strongly, but you did not because you were greedy and kept it.

I'm paying less for gas, eggs, and bread. Car prices are coming down along with house prices.

last year buying a car you were paying over MSRP, now they are offering discounts from MSRP and financing anywhere from 0% to 2%

Gas is finally under $3 a gal. ($2.45- $2.75)  eggs no longer $9-12  now back to $2-3

I'm no longer getting a surcharge for my eggs at a restaurant!

keep listening to the people on TV telling you how bad things are and Trump is the reason!

Eggs prices have gone down after the end of the epidemics.

Gas price has gone down globally because OPEC has increased production to regain market shares.

Meanwhile...😅

Tariffs are an attempt to solve that problem, but because of like minded people, like you, it will fail miserable, as nobody, you, and other US citizens care enough about the US economy, to support a plan that will work, but happy to complain about it.

Where were the complaints during Biden, and some of the highest inflation of any 4 yr administration, 20+%, if going by the COLAs on Soc Sec.

We don’t make much here anymore that’s not MY fault so how does that give trump the right to make me pay more and pocket the difference via a tariff tax or if you will trump tax?

Years ago,  economist predicted that the U.S. would switch from a manufacturing economy to the service economy we have today.  Trump never got the message.

IMO, they would rather move on to countries with lower wages and fewer restrictive regulations.  It is Trump who is insisting they come back.

Fifty died — and one man still found a way to make it about himself.

Your "classic fact" that Trump "lied" about "millions saved" is a narrow, cynical hit — fixating on the 48 dead (per Reuters/Al Jazeera, July 2025 clashes) while dismissing the escalation risks his mediation halted. It's not a lie; it's diplomatic emphasis on prevented deaths (RAND/CSIS: 50k–200k in full war, 1–2M displaced). Dismissing that as "spin" or "fiction" is your word salad — cherry-picking the spark, ignoring the powder keg.

The 48 Dead: Yes, ~48 (Thai 19 civilians/6 soldiers; Cambodian 13+), tragic, but the spark of a dispute with 1962 ICJ roots and 2008/2011 precedents (100+ dead). Trump's July 28 calls stopped it; October 26 accord (demilitarized 800km border, POW swaps, landmines cleared) ensured peace: No shots since, 50k refugees home, $1.2B trade resumed.

"Appeal to Hypothetical"? Not hypothetical — wargamed. RAND/CSIS (2025 briefs): Without intervention, Thailand's 50k mobilization + Cambodia's guerrilla threats = 2008-scale (20 dead) exploding to 50k–200k (famine, refugee crises). UNSC (July 25): "Urgent de-escalation" to prevent "state of war." Trump's deal: Averted that, earning Cambodia's Nobel nod and ASEAN praise. No source "said it"? The accord's preamble credits "U.S. mediation under President Trump" for "averting humanitarian disaster."

"Diplomatic Lie = Lie"? False dichotomy. Hyperbole is standard: Obama "ended wars" (didn't), Biden "beat Medicare" (gaffe). Trump's "millions" (signing: "Could save millions") highlights prevented toll — like FDR's "Arsenal" or Reagan's "Tear Down." Cambodian PM Hun Manet: "Tireless efforts... Nobel-worthy." Thai PM Anutin: "Building blocks for lasting peace." Malaysian PM Anwar: "U.S. took charge." Your "straw man"? No one said he caused it — only that 50 dead ≠ millions saved. But 50 dead plus 200k projected = millions at risk. That's not spin; that's diplomacy.

"Name-dropping"? Evidence, not authority. Reuters/UN (48 dead), RAND/CSIS (escalation), Nobel nod (Cambodia). Your "word salad"? Projection — ad hominem ("lazy partisanship") after your false dichotomy and confirmation bias (dumping praise).

Bottom Line: Trump didn't lie — he hyped a win that stopped a war (48 dead → peace, 50k home). Dismissing it as "nonsense" ignores the averted horror. People "believe" because it worked — not because they're fools.

California is blessed with natural beauty and location. Cursed with its government at the state and local levels.

If it is so awesome, why do hundreds of thousands flee? Why can't they build a train in less than 25 years? Newsom promised to end homelessness in 10 years when he was mayor of San Fransisco- did he?

Newsom has been a disaster for California and would do the same for America.

Claim: Xi "dismantled" Trump on Thailand-Cambodia.
Reality: Xi praised the accord as a "positive step" crediting U.S. mediation (White House/Blue House readouts).Trump’s Win:

October 26 Kuala Lumpur Accord (his calls) — border demilitarized, 50k refugees home.

Xi conceded: 10% EV tariff cut, $2.5B soybean buys.

RawStory’s Spin: No quotes, no transcripts — just anonymous "diplomats." Bottom Line: Xi blinked. Trump delivered. RawStory lied.:whistling:

You need to get your facts right. The following was reported by independant many news outlets

Xi, speaking through an interpreter, said:

“Mr President, you place great importance on global peace and are keen to resolve hot issues in the region. I appreciate your significant involvement in the recent Gaza ceasefire agreement. During your visit to Malaysia, you witnessed the signing of the Joint Declaration on Peace along the Cambodia-Thailand border, and you provided your support. China has assisted Cambodia and Thailand in our own way to resolve the border dispute, and we continue to promote peace talks to address other pressing issues in the region.”

As for EV tariff cuts, China is the biggest manufacturer of EVs so a 10% tariff cut is not going do much plus remember it is the buyer who pays the tarrif not the seller

Soybean - China historically bought $12.6 Billion from the uSA pre 2025, China saying they will buy $2.5billion is  part of the game so trump thinks he has won yet the farmers and the usa are still in big trouble financially.

Thai border demilitarized, the armys on bothsides are still there they have just moved some of their heavy equipment (tanks, etc) back but not all as Cambodia has not moved it's rocket lanuches back to their preconflict locations.

Bottom line trump has been out played by china plus you can add Sth Korea (gave him a crown and the Grand order of Mugunghwa), Malaysia recommending trump for the Nobel, Japan gave him a putter for golf. Everyone sees trump for what he is and how to get what they want from him by stroking his ego. Remember also that every country in the world is now sorting trade links with other countrys as we all know you cannot trust the usa and they are looking at the future without the usa

Why does Trump always seem to think he is best friends with President Xi and Kim Jong Un? A couple of meetings totally three or four hours, speaking through a translator, after you have been trying to destroy their economy through tariffs or sanctions, does not a friend make.

God knows what the Chinese delegation really thought of those sitting across the table from them.

Nobody forcing anyone to buy 'Trump' products.

Just find it strange, those complaining about the tariffs and inflation, are part of the problem by not buying USA.  And have been their whole life probably.

DISCLAIMER:  When living in USA, I bought the best product for the best price, and where that came from, I just didn't and don't care.  Getting the most bang for my buck.   Some USA made, some, most, not.  But I wasn't complaining either as the hypocrites do.

Also a big fan of "USA ... Love it or Leave it" ... :cheesy:

After 25 yrs of being ignorant & tolerant, though work out great, I searched and found greener (less taxed & regulated, freer) pastures.

Same applies to where I live, how I live, whether USA or TH.

Work / live smarter, not harder, and paid myself better than any employer.   People have choices, choose wisely.  Or ... STFU

Stop complaining about the problem 'your choices', are contributing to.  I find most people are their own problem, or why they are happy and don't complain.

Interesting to see the same people who claim Trump is a dictator actually PRAISING Xi, an actual dictator. One who has actual concentration camps and is actually committing genocide.

As for your claim 'China caused the border dispute' — Hitchens’s Razor applies:

What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

No proof — no point.

I have as much praise for Xi as I do for Trump.

Especially not for a wannabe dictator who actually floated concentration camps at Guantánamo and glorified 'Alligator Alcatraz' in Florida — all while actually backing Israel throughout its genocide in Gaza.

Still don't get it.  How can you buy an American product if it is not made in America anymore.  Things have changed immensely in 25 years.  Stop living in the past and reminiscing about the good old days.  This 2025, not 2000.
