A police officer shot and killed a 30-year-old petrol station employee in Chachoengsao on 15 November 2025, prompting shock among colleagues and the victim’s family. The shooting occurred at around 12.40 at a newly opened station in Moo 18, Ban Thung Hiang, Tha Kradan subdistrict, Sanam Chai Khet district. Officers from Sanam Chai Khet Police Station, along with investigators and patrol units, arrived quickly after receiving reports of gunfire.

At the scene, police found the victim, Mr Atsadawut “Mai” Buayaem, lying dead in a pool of blood near the fuel pumps. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the left and right chest and the left thigh. Investigators recovered four spent cartridges, one located near the rear fuel dispenser.

A co-worker, Ms Jai, said the victim had been using his phone near the front pump before a man suddenly approached and fired four shots. She said she was terrified and had no knowledge of any prior dispute between the victim and the assailant. Her account indicated no warnings or confrontation occurred immediately before the attack.

Police detained the suspect within an hour of the incident. He was identified as Pol L/Cpl Worawat Thanakittianan, nicknamed “Pure”, serving with Subdivision 2 of the Police Special Operations Division. He had returned to his family home in the area during time off.

A small payment to the victim's family so they will not press charges, followed by a new posting in a different province and complete lack of media follow-up - end of story.

Good only responsible people have guns in Thailand. Just shows how hot headed some are most would think of the consequences for your self and family before committing such a crime its not like he thought he wouldn't be caught

In the vid it seems the cop in sunglasses finds it funny.....🙄
