Phits be the worst. Really ugly. Sub standard food. Reminded me of Wollongong but no beach. Yet Sukhothai is fairly nice.

Bignok city review:

I ate meat on a stick. The band at the night market was good ( free).

I exercised on the broken down equipment in the local park.

my room cost ฿350.

I spent one day there.

I am not too found of Chang.

For the uneducated and uncool, I'm referring to Chiang Mai, of course.

Hat yai wasn't boring back in the early 2000's. More like an all you can eat buffet. Just had to worry about the bombings once in a while.

Sparks goes on a road trip...

Drank (free) tap water everywhere.

Ate only instant noodles and footlongs from 7.

Pitched a tent by the klong.

Walked past a temple but didn’t go in.

Went for a (free) factory tour, but left early.

Joined the gay parade in town. Trip Highlight!

Watched the sunset for two minutes.

Took a bus home in the morning.

Practically dull AF.

Most Thai cities is boring, but some provinces is nicer than others even their city is ugly and boring.

I've been to many provinces in Thailand over the years I'd say that Udonthani was up with the best and Arunyaprathet was by far the worst.

Not if you knew where to go. I had great times there. Loads of women, scored some smoke , great nightclub with good sounds and an interesting market. Had my first threesome there.

About 40 years ago I was in Pimai checking out the ruins. Back then it was absolutely dead after 8.00 and even a decent bowl of noodles was hard to find in the daytime. At night a noodle seller set up her stall outside my Chinese style hotel which was clean but very basic.

At 9.00 pm the noodle seller knocked on my door offering her assistant for the night. I politely declined but pretty unexpected in such a dead town.

Ordinary Thai cities isn't much to salute, but their provinces might be.

I had a friend who I sent to Chiang Mai because Phuket flooded, and he was loving the place. A very cool city was his statement.

I can't say I ever been exited about any cities in Thailand, been more about the company than the place to be true, but give me a nice quiet clean beach or Island, I do not need much more. Or some hills and curvy roads with view and beautiful landscape during the rain season er close to the end? Living and loving  it!

Right now outback in Isaan at my balcony, birds singing, not a sound from anything else almost.

You know, if you announced your travel plans before hitting the cities, there would probably be many that would send you a small contribution for staying away.

Trying to be anyway.

I enjoy small Thai towns, always somewhere for a wander around, then  food and a drink or two.

Resorts, excluding Pattaya, tend to be much of the same formula after you've been to a few.

Chumporn. Not only boring but quite ugly too, apart from the seaside. It does not feel like it has a soul. And the building are ugly too.
