I was quite devastated and very sad for society that he made no attempt to call emergency services , I immediately sent him a message to tell him

Did you tell him the number he should have called to report this, and how to describe his location and precisely what he was reporting in Thai language?

  • Were you performing CPR on him for 20 minutes, or how the hell did he make it? This thread is getting more confusing for me with each post.

Georgina, every single post you write reads like the same diary of your unmatched boredom, sadness, depression, or fear. You have been recycling the same Karen meltdown saga for months now. Try something else for once, FFS.

His imaginary friends are telling him to write this rubbish

Got admit, my first thought would be.......'a set up'?

Depending on the exact circumstances I might stop, but I'd certainly call the services.

People don't want to help as if you know CPR, or similar, and use it but the person does not respond you could be held liable if you are not a doctor.

This is mainly to do with Pattaya expats but please allow me to ask all expats in the Asian Continent rather than just the expats in Pattaya

I came across a YouTube video where the farang said he was driving on that busy road highway at 2am in Pattaya Sukhumvit or whatever it's called

He saw a person laying on the side of the road but kept going !!

Ok I'm not saying he should stop to help because not everyone physically can...but wouldn't you bother to call the ambulance?

Now would it be any different say in your own country?

Or would you continue on like you didn't see it there too ?

oh no...oh please tell me I'm reading this wrong ...

The reality of the way things can go in Thailand is the risk of being accused of a variety of issues is  very common.

So while people may drive on does not mean they disregard a situation but will call the appropriate quick dial number to report.

Many years back I was first on scene of a motorcycle fatality. Within an hour family members were claiming the  victim was carrying 10,000

Bht . Luckily this fictitious claim was proven wrong because he had  deposited it is an account prior in the day.

I say luckily because it quickly dispelled any chance of lingering suspicion .

But there does exist an aversion to be involved in even serious situations for fear of being accused in some way .

Calling appropriate "authorities" is the safer option.

If that seems strange then visit the mid West US and step toward the curb as if intending to cross the street and see what the reaction of the street traffic is ! Screeching halt even if the pedestrian is performing an illegal act which the  motorist would still want to avoid potential insurance  claims for even minor injury.

Probably. He is just too much of a drama queen for any of it to even be remotely interesting.

Could not be more true, same recycled topics that are all fictional and getting worse day by day.

I guess he is running out of ideas so now he is scouring YouTube to help with ideas to fabricate more of his fictional stories. He whinges like an old minger though.

A lot of people swimming there, but no-one cared, till I tipped him on the shoulder just to realise that he had drowned. - Pulled him out, and, even though CPR wasn't successful, and the ambulance didn't come for 20min., he made it, and recovered. Lucky guy!

That is so unlikely that he survived. He was in warm water face down maybe 5 min, 20 min CPR and no breathing, 5 min to hospital.  I think somebody just told you he survived to make you feel better. If you met him later, I believe.

I read it in a newspaper shortly after (either "The Thaiger", or "Pattaya Mail")...

Obvious from the recent stabbing of Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who was tragically murdered on a light rail train in an unprovoked attack in Charlotte, NC, USA in August 2025. No! The people around her did nothing (and she was noticed, seen by other people on the train).  Pretty sad...

In the UK, if one does not refer to the migrants arriving in boats a positive manner, one can be charged with a hate crime related to incitement against the UK's  visitors.

Yawn.

Is this you in the video ranting about things like that and getting owned by an old lady. Honestly one of the most ludicrous videos I have ever seen - what an absolute plum, thinking he needs a bodyguard to walk down Oxford Street then getting spooked by a fire engine. And no it is not a parody:

Oh don't be a racist Bloggy!

Does this count?

The driver of this car was proceeding along the dual carriageway in front of me... until he wasn't.

He apparently fell asleep at the wheel, drifted slowly to the left until the embankment removed any remaining choices and ended up with a big splash in the paddy field.  We stopped.  I got to his car door just as he was opening it.  He had been wearing his seat belt so was OK.  My partner called the police and we stayed with him for around 45 minutes until his wife arrived (no sign yet of police).
