Has Donald Trump “Lost the Plot”?

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

In recent months, mounting reports suggest that some of Donald Trump’s own staff and outside experts are increasingly uneasy about his behaviour and mental sharpness. Unusual public appearances — marked by confusion, rambling remarks and apparent memory lapses — have fueled concern that the president may be struggling to keep control of his faculties. Critics warn that these developments raise serious questions about his fitness to lead.

Observers note that Trump has frequently drifted off-topic during official appearances, sharing stories that make little sense, confusing basic facts, or appearing unable to recall his own decisions. In one high-profile example, while criticising the head of the U.S. central bank over economic policy, Trump seemed to forget that he himself had appointed that person — only months earlier. (The New Republic)

At a Cabinet meeting convened to discuss major issues — including global conflicts, flooding in Texas and international tariffs — Trump reportedly veered off and spent more than 10 minutes describing the White House décor. Instead of engaging with policy discussions, he appeared fixated on lamp fixtures, wall frames and medallions, leaving senior ministers waiting as the meeting derailed into an unexpected interior-design monologue. (The Guardian).

I'm not sure he ever had a plot, but it certainly seems that whatever he had is gone, he's semi senile, he's rambling incoherently, and he seems to be flailing at this point, with his popularity dwindling, his base of support is very confused about recent developments, and I think that it's only a matter of time before the man becomes increasingly more irrelevant.

My big concern is that he's going to also become increasingly more insane and unhinged.

Growing Alarm at the White House: Has Donald Trump “Lost the Plot”?

Trump’s speaking style hasn’t changed in 40 years — long tangents, brags, and jumps are his signature, not a new symptom.

The Powell incident: Trump appointed him in 2017 and has publicly criticized his own pick almost daily since 2018. Zero memory lapse.

The “lamp monologue”: He spent ~90 seconds pointing out newly restored historic medallions and fixtures in the Cabinet Room before the actual meeting began. Routine presidential small 101 when the room was just renovated.

Cognitive tests: Trump took the MoCA again in 2025 and scored 30/30, same as 2020. No decline recorded.

Every clip being spun as “decline” is just normal Trump on a normal day. The only thing declining is the credibility of the people pretending this is new.

Yet you constantly post demonstrating your undoubted expertise on diagnosing the mental state of all and any whose opinions you don't agree with - as the quoted post rather suggests...

Generous, I believe the technical term is "shot through"!

Works 24/7 and does more news interviews in a day than Biden did in his entire term. MSN "story" by Witchy Spells. Says it all really.

Trump's "rambling" is his unchanged 40-year style—tangents and brags that delivered 312 electoral votes in 2024.

No senility: He aced the MoCA cognitive test in April 2025 (30/30 score) and October MRI showed "perfectly normal" health, per White House physician.

Flailing? Hardly—Q2 GDP surged 3.8% annualized; unemployment holds at 4.4% (historically low); he's advanced Ukraine peace (Kyiv agreed to revised 19-point framework Nov 2025, with Zelensky eyeing Trump meet soon); and brokered Mideast cease-fires.

Popularity "dwindling"? Overall approval dipped to 36–42% (Gallup/NYT averages, post-shutdown), but GOP base is ironclad: 84–88% approve, with MAGA identifiers at 96% (NBC/Politico polls); even non-MAGA Trump voters back him 70%+ on immigration.

Base "confused"? Fiction—55% of 2024 Trump voters self-ID as MAGA (up from 23% in 2023), with 73% favoring his tariffs; minor splits on economy don't erode core loyalty."Irrelevant" or "unhinged"?

At 79, he's outworking leaders half his age—1,200+ events, NATO burden-sharing boosted Europe aid to Ukraine 54% ($18.8B/quarter). Your "concern" is just wishful spin; results say otherwise.

What plot is that?

It assumes that everything was "normal" before Trump.

Damn good impersonation of Karolin Leavitt. But untrue as of late.

Sure, let's demand transparency for all: Why didn't Biden release full results from his 2024 physical, including the neuro exam that hid his decline until the debate disaster?

Or Harris's cognitive screening—crickets there too.

Trump's MMPI? Not standard for presidents—it's a psych eval for personality disorders, not fitness.

White House docs confirm his April 2025 MoCA was 30/30 (normal cognition, no impairment), same as 2018 and October's "perfectly normal" MRI/neuro exam.

If you're fishing for "insanity," try the guy who wandered off G7 stages. Trump's sharper than your gotcha.

Yes he lost the plot!

Feeling so sad for what is left of MAGA!

He is doing a 180 TACO again!

"Biden crime family"

LOL!!!!!

You MAGAs are such a kick.

Let's see.....a &47 from Qatar that couldn't possibly be retrofitted for AF1 use until mid 2028, at a cost of up to a billion dollars, and then on 20 January 2029, at a cost of a few hundred million, get de-retrofitted and turned over to Trump (if he's still alive) for personal use.

Three---count'em---three projects in Saudi Arabia. Trump recently entertained the ruler MbS at the White House on the taxpayers' dime, despite SIGINT and HUMINT proving MbS ordered the killing and mutilation of US Person and WaPo journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

$2 billion from MbS to Jared Kushner to "manage", despite having had zero fund management experience.

Refinance by Qatar, during Trump 1.0, of a $1.2 billion balloon payment owed by Jared Kushner on his 666 5th Ave building. The building had an assessed market value of only $700 million but Jared had $1.4 billion in loans on it. Qatar was under sanctions at the time. "Coincidentally", a week after the refinance, sanctions were dropped on Qatar.

A meme coin. His wife's meme coin.

Pardon CZ, head of Binance, for money laundering (including for Hamas), as Binance just so happens to do business with World Liberty Financial, the firm run by Uday and Qusay Jr and Eric.

His wife getting $40 million for her "life story" from Amazon.

Pardon of David Gentile, who ran a Ponzi Scheme that filched $1.6 billion for 10,000 "investors", but who "coincidentally" gave millions to Repub Congressional candidates in the 2024 election.

But BIDEN!!!!!!

LOL.

Wow. Just wow.

Kool-Aid_Man.png

Lost the plot!

Personally, I'll be forever grateful to the man for stopping the Rwandan Genocide in 1994.

And that horrific war between Cambodia and Armenia.

And also ending an equally horrific war between abajabababastan (Azerbaijan) and Albania.

And saving me from the sharks if my electric boat sinks.

And does anybody really think Albert Einstein or John von Neumann or Richard Feynman could have answered "Person Woman Man Camera TV"?  Trump's a regular stable genius, to be sure.

And really, isn't gold leaf in the White House far more important than a concept of a plan re healthcare?
