  • How terrible!  We must immediately set-up a gofundme for this deceased, erratic, glass-breaker!

It.s about time people took resposability for their own actions instead of every body having to feather bed them.Yes, safety glass is good as are handrails on staircases and in showers but when they are not there one has to be extra careful and not do anything stupid like the aussie who went through the door without opening it.So was that the fault of the restuarant owner because he didn't fit safety glass ???

You can't legislate againt stupidity'

I’ve banged my head several times on glass doors with no stickers of any kind to indicate it’s glass … if you think it’s funny it’s not and it’s gross negligence , which is normal in Thailand , steps at hotels can be similar and you trip.
and some day in the next century it will be  compulsory to have a grab rail in hotel showers with floors that can become an ice rink when suddied !

Try looking

Sounds like something a lot stronger than Marijuana to make him that erratic that he'd run through glass doors. Crazy take anything if you don't know what the ingredients are.

Where does it mention marijuana in the post?   Not even mention in the Thaiger report.

Size matters. Leg, arm, neck or todger? (Sorry 555🤫)

You can’t apply it to the neck. Having said that, Most tourniquets open wide enough to apply it to heavier set people.

Yes, I do because it will allow to me stop arterial bleeding infinitely quicker than you can with any type of pressure bandage. By the time you’re done applying your bandage, I’m already done with calling emergency services.

But you failed to help this poor man

Why don't you admit it?

I detect a sense of humour dysfunction.

You can.

(It's called suicide)

But, you may not on others.

(It's called murder)

TIT .....Safety is an afterthought in Thailand, actually, safety isn't even considered. Travel in Thailand at your own risk.

Maybe femoral artery severed?

A person can bleed out quickly with this injury.

I have no first aid training,  so I do not get involved,  much easier

You're required by law to help. At least that's the case in Germany. In regards to how to apply a tourniquet, there's tons of videos of professionals on youtube. My recommendation is the the gen 2 wide tourniquet from Snakestaff Systems because that one, unlike most others, can be used on small children and pets like dogs as well.

We are just speculating. Drugs MAY have been involved. He MAY have had a mental illness. He MAY have been very drunk, then had a row with the staff and  then tried to get out of there without paying up.

It is likely we'll (or at least most of us) never know what really caused him to do what he did.

In any case, sad stuff.

I've been in that restaurant a couple of times, We like the food, Apart from the glass right outside of there is a set of steps that would be illegal back in the UK, I see from the photo there is a handrail but I don't remember that being there a couple of years ago, I was thinking the guy had fell down the stairs as they go right into the road that was how he killed himself,

At the time my family was here and we had to carry my grand daughters buggy up them steps and back down we needed the staff to help it was that dangerous,

Obviously there has not been a building inspector around there, now I have mobility problems so we could never go back there,
