Is there anywhere (paid) to park my car while on a trip abroad?

Featured Replies

I am going overseas for a few weeks and I want a place to park my car. I don't have a garage, normally I park on the street but I go work every day with it and during the sun hours (while at work) I got access to an underground parking.

Unfortunately I can't leave the car there for weeks, I am looking a (covered) alternative. I don't want to leave it roasting under the sun or getting crapped on under a tree.

Malls and Big C have explicit rules (rightfully so) against that and would fine me big, so those are a no-go. I didn't get any luck with neighbors either.

Is there anywhere I could leave my car? I wouldn't mind paying (a fair/reasonable amount).

Are you going to the airport for your trip by car? Or can you? You could then leave it in the long stay car park at the airport.

I heard Pattaya ghost tower (Waterfront) at Bali Hai has an underground carpark and it's  being used for parking.

It's out the weather and I reckon the nice the Mafia men will look after it for you.

I guess you will be flying from Suvanabhumi ?

I park at the VISMAYA Hotel on Soi 43 the north moving side  of King Keaw Rd, which is 5 mins from the airport by courtesy bus. I usually stay there the night before and after travel.

They have covered parking for which they charge B100 per night and I'd say it's a secure spot, overlooked by Reception and Security. ATB

Check with Jason at Good Vibes Garage, as he provides such a service:

Yes, I think it's necessary. The Lotus near me recently implemented timed parking. The parking lot immediately went from packed to less than half of the spots being used. People were even parking there and taking a nap in their car, but all that stopped.

I am getting gouged while here in Thailand for a few months. I'm paying 154 usd in the fort Lauderdale Florida area at a storage place for my car.   I had no options.  So 100 baht a day is great by comparison.

Most airports have long term parking nearby. Better to have someone drive it a bit to keep the battery up.

Can't, too many people and luggage, I'm going by taxi because I need a much larger car.

Well, an option would be to go by both taxi and car. You could go by car alone or with one or two people and some luggage, and the rest of your party could go by taxi.

I just checked this, 100b/day. Thanks

P Plus Hotel on Soi Exite has paid underground parking. People must pass security to enter and exit the parking lot and there is little foot traffic through the underground.  Cover your car or it will be filthy when you get back.

Pretty sure there will be a park and ride near your international airport, don't know where you are flying from?

If you want inside parking I believe places like Pattaya Self Storage may have a few spaces.

Depends on the length of the trip. I did not mean leave it with the neighbors 18 year old. It should be someone that is a seasoned driver.

I use Boeing Parking near Suvarnubhumi Airport. Covered parking and 24-hour security. I pay about 1000 baht a month, plus 100 baht for drop off and collection.

Suvarnabhumi Airport has under cover parking (big C macro style) ive used it its around 150 a day with free shuttle bus to and from car part to airport, I used it for 4 nights, when you consider bus tickets for two both ways thats for 600 it already covers 4 nights,  you could look up to see if they have deals for longer terms.

Just get into one of the big condo parking using BS smooth talk and go to the bottom end of the lot, leave your contact on a piece of paper visible on the dasboard.  I doubt you will get a call.   Enjoy your trip.

Sounds like a way to require collection from the police pound on return!
