The most predominant pastime for the entire year was sleeping.

Walked the dog, cut the grass, trimmed the hedges, finished setting up our restaurant and bar. Travelled to BKK four times, Pattaya twice and spent three months in the UK, caught Covid again, had two actinic keratoses removed with lasers..... both benign.

Best thing ever though..........employed a cleaner and a gardener.

What did you do in these places?

Besides everyday living, which you all should know by now, (being an open book) is pretty boring as I relish being a retired LPOS.

Then we go O&A, whether locally, no overnight, up to 100 kms away from house, and had a few trips, a bit further, that required overnight hotels.  Not too many this year, and maybe 1 more to go.

Aside from Krung Thep to visit daughter, made it to a few province, some multiple times:  Chumphon, Samut Songkhram, Phetchaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Surat Thani, Phang Nga, Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phuket, Tak, Chiang Mai, Sukhothai, Phetchabun, Sing Buri, Ratchaburi.

First outing, with some others this year ...

Best this year, brother & wife came for a visit, who I haven't seen for 20+ years, and first time meeting the wife & daughter.  An excellent visit, and a good thing, as doubt if we'll ever see each other again.

I did Piyathida, Suppatra, Hannah, Wawa, Leona, Yingying, and Kim.

2025 was a good year.  Dropped some bad habits and not chasing good times as I have in the recent past.  Tried too hard to prove to myself I could physically do the things I did when I was 40 and failed miserably at that.  Threw in the towel yesterday after 12 months of a slow physical decline.  Going to be lazy and unhealthy for 10 days before starting to get healthy again with more common sense.

We all get old and I'm starting to accept this I think. Still unsure how to move forward but I'll figure it out.

I reduced my posts on ASEAN NOW to a bare minimum.

I have found there are better things to do with my time.

Balloon

Made a new friend. Gave up on an old one. We went to the beach twice, took a 3-day motorcycle ride around the north, learned some new vocabulary, discovered some new craft ideas, upped my exercise routine to include more stair climbing (can do 15 flights now, but I do rest around floor 7 for a minute or two.) One of the best things I did for myself was to stop posting on Facebook. If I were smart, I'd stop posting here, too. All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good year!

Besides living in Norway for almost 10 months this year, We did Koh Mak, Koh Kood, Ban Chang, Korat several trips to dentist and a nice getaway for overnight shopping, Phetchabun, Hua Hin Three times, Bangkok 8 times coming and going from Norway, or passing by nice to make a overnight stop before going home or down south, Koh Phayam, Phitsanulok, east and west part of Norway. Sweeden and Denmark. So it have indeed been a busy year. Plan to stay more than 6 months next year even we have a family reunion application, it is still 9 months waiting,  18 months total.

And now we have decided I will move back to Thailand, so we will see what 2026 brings.

So will we extend the farm, or will we live in Norway? That’s the question.

With apologies to the late Malvina Reynolds:

There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same
