Bank statement for first one year extension

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have an appointment on January 15th at 10am for my first one year extension on a Non-O retirement in Khon Kaen.

I have a bank account in K-bank, My 800k will be aged 2 months on the 14th, my first 90 day non-o expires on February 4th.

My question is; When I get my bank letter of guarantee for the extension, do I need to get it the same morning? Or can I get it the day before?

Also, does it have to be the same branch and city I opened it? Khon Kaen is 1/12 hours away and I would like to get it a city closer if possible the day before.

If it has to be in the same city, and the same day, I may move my appointment to 1pm if needed.

Thanks.

First up. Each immigration office is different.

The bank Statement and bank letter are valid for 7 days and most offices accept those few days prior to extension.

You can obtain that at any branch.

Please state your bank is NOT BBL.

Edit: I see your bank Kasikorn. Good.

Note two things: firstly good idea to update bank book on day of application.

Also very strange thread recently that KK required 3 month seasoning.

I don't find that credible as the rule is two.

I've never needed a bank statement, an updated pass book will do along with the letter, the day before, usually deposit 100 baht and they want 100 baht for the letter

So far it was never a problem at KK to have the bank(account) letter from the day before.

Update of bank book or account statement is possible at every branch.

Bank book update same day is required at KK. Do some small deposit or withdrawal before update. Careful with withdrawal regarding 800k.

The letter should also be available at every Kasikorn branch. Maybe someone can confirm.

Kasikorn at Central opens at 10:30. Quite convenient in the morning. Plenty of parking.

The nice thing about Kasikorn is they can give you a 1 year bank statement same day while you are sitting there. A 3 month statement . . . of course. It's a small fee for either.

Well as for the seasoning of the money, If I wait until 3 months, I will be on overstay even though I got a bank account 3 days after I arrived. I thought it was 2 months seasoning for your first time extension. I will be applying about 2.5 weeks before my first 90 days is up, thats why i'm getting started then. I will go to Chumpae K-bank a few days before to see if they can do the statement, hopefully they can, Chumpae is a decent sized town, but not sure if they deal with bank statements much. Thanks for the replies.

That's why it is 2 months, 3 months would be impossible and makes no sense.

Kbank in CP.

One year statement.

In/out in 10 min if no long queue.

No problem.

Ask for statement in Thai language. Not critical but useful.

As usual statements show transactions until previous day while bankbook is up-to-date to the minute.

That's the headline of a Kbank statement for savings deposit.
