I just saw ST IV, I gave those original series movies a miss back when. It has a moment or two when Spock seems to be betraying emotion (!). I guess they are having trouble keeping up the Vulcan lack of emotion thing. Probably the cutest Vulcan interaction is in Strange New Worlds when young Spock and his fiance are discussing whether they should have sex.

Watching ep1. Not sure where the comedy is but ill give it a few more episodes. Jason Bateman is entertaining.

Both Deep Space 9 and Voyager were good series, as I remember. Old-fashioned TV though, 24 episodes a season. Still managed to better than what they're producing today
