Anyone know of a podiatrist clinic in Thailand for flat feet?

I saw him some years ago to get inlay soles. He is Dutch I believe and seemed to know his stuff. He was recommended to me by a doctor at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

He's office was in Jomtien.

I had plantar fasciitis and the podiatrist wanted to do a number of interventions. Oddly, I did nothing and it went away by itself.

Not the same as flat feet, but I am wary of insoles/arch support as they may cause other issues.

And it appears that flat feet can be rectified with exercises.

I agree that inlay soles are not the answer in many (most?) cases.

I only used them to take the strain off of my badly inflamed achilles tendons for a limited time until I could start exercising and reduce the inflammation.

Dr Tanawat Chiangmai 0808505087, 5pm to 7pm, also in different hospitals/Sriphat/Bangkok Hosp. and others.

He supplies even insoles/same as in EU countries.

I went for a surgery. He's excellent!

I went to this place for ingrown toenail very knowledgeable.

The problem with most Podiatrist is they want to sell you Orthotics which from my experience cause more problems.

Chumphon, Am looking for a professional who knows what they are talking about for my 6 year old daughter. I do not want surgical solutions, more arch support. I have flat feet so know what it is like and I use inserts in my shoes and choose good quality trainers that give support, if I was in England I would know who to see, here in Thailand I have only found orthopaedic doctors, I would prefer a podiatrist.

Have used orthotics for 50 plus years for my flat feet, been a great help. May be not the answer for everyone. Am looking for a professional to look at my 6year olds feet and then will see what we do from there. Thank you for the info an the link.

I've been to the one suggested (Footcare Clinic by Dr. Cherdpong) this morning. As is often the case there were Mothers with their children being attended to. They are attentive and professional and have taken good care of my issue very well for the past 18 months or so. Somewhat inconveniently located in your case unfortunately.

Thanks Sheryl, Surat Thani is only 3 hours away so will check them out this month and will give feed back once we have a result.
