Pattaya Klang's Farang Club - where the cheap charlie sexpats go to die - don't forget to check out Nirun/Flybird condo bargains on the walk to the toilets.

Maybe if they cycled a bit more, they'd have less ailments. Obviously this won't solve their poverty, which is why they eat in food courts.

  • What? After all the food court Poo Poo you have posted you ate there...lol......Well thats a first...

There is a Noodle place near KFC, the whole Mall is a huge improvement with plenty of choice and a variety of foods including 4 Sushi outlets There is always a few home delivery motor bikes outside as well, never there before the refurbishment.

Redone all ceilings in most of the Mall and inside Big C and new flooring, huge new steel structure signage at high level externally. I can’t see the point in that though.

Also huge arches above one of the escalators, no idea either the purpose of that, all shiny steel with a few lights on it.

I really enjoy some noodle dishes for lunch - and if good value then what is wrong with that?

Does anybody know a good Chicken noodle place which uses actual chicken legs in a tasty broth? The ones I used to use disappeared a while ago?

Pier 21 food court; Terminal 21.

Best Red pork noodles with dumplings here

The many times I've had a gander it seems to be full of Frenchies for some reason.Russians T21 , Central Marina is my insiders favorite never too busy and good prices. I used to think Festivals was my Ritz until I got terrible food poisoning there this trip.

You are in a militia cultural tourist location what do expect or want, the place to yourself and citizens from your own country ? Don’t get me wrong there are certain individuals from various countries who do annoy me but I turn a deaf ear.

They are the worse to be avoided at all costs. I find the night markets at Jomtien tend to be some of my favourites- full of russians who are pleasant enough if somewhat cold but family orientatted.

I noticed a new boat noodle place on the left opposite the big 7/11(with the market behind it) as you go down Yume away from Big C northwards. There used to be one outside Big C which was quite good but no idea what this one is like.

The best noodle soup place i used to go to everyday is the mum and pop pork noodle soup with motorbike sidecar etc on Soi Post Office, with pig blood is best totally changes the taste, still there most days, on the right, past soi post office heading to 2nd road, worth a try, must get the blood, has tables and chairs

Certainly an upgrade, packed earlier, every new table had people on, lots more choice except i couldn't find a noodle soup stall.

Still too many farang with no food or drink loitering blocking the tables.

Jury out on quality, what i had every thing was lowest quality, rice, pork, vegetables

Those farang with no food or drink are mainly French. They arrive early morning and stay half the day, shouting at each other across the small table as though they're conversing across a car park.

I might go there and put a sign up near them

Not defending them but it’s probably their culture where live they although I think they would be asked to leave if they didn’t purchase anything or leave in a couple hours. The culture in Italy was the same people would sit somewhere hugging a coffee or a glass of wine for hours. The Thais don’t like confrontation so won’t ask them to move.

Are you Big C foodcourt manager now? Since you "claim" to never go there, why would it bother you?

If you can't see a problem then you are probably as bad as them

Yup, I don't see a problem in places I claim not to attend.

You don't know me, and I don't eat in food courts, as I have made clear already in another thread.

Begs the question of why you went to a place you don't like, to look for the cheapest food item one can think about, while passing probably 50 noodle shops between your residence on Pratumnak and Central Pattaya

Don't forget, you got the 'World's Largest 7-11' with seating upstairs

This 7-11 truly became the highlight of my trip to Pattaya. I felt a sense of pride as I enjoyed a refreshing soda upstairs, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Top of my bucket list, possibly the only thing on my bucket list. OK, maybe a boat trip around Cheow Lan lake.

Actually regret bypassing it, last time I was in the area. Mere 15-20 mins off the hwy, and bliss awaited. What was I thinking. Now, it's 2+ hrs from daughter's condo, crap. Can't think of a reason to go eastward again.

I was in there yesterday and it was pretty busy as you say. I find there are too many tables and they are packed a bit tight for walking around in there. I am not a fan of the thump thump bang music coming continuously from the kids play area from about 9.30 am too. Yes, many groups of falang use it as a socializing place and enjoy the cool AC. Many start with food and drink but stay longer than they consume, I always have at least a coffee, there must be about 10 places selling that! Glad the irritating crane games have been moved out.

Did you take a look upstairs at Big-C, not even recognizable.

Need to look harder, they are still there just before the Lucky Sushi, against the glass wall, there are also second floor near the back escalator.

We know you have little money because you were moaning about food prices the other day, Big C would suit you

Well not the large area they used to occupy making noise. As you say there are groups of them dotted around now, I spotted the ones you mentioned that same day as I came in from that side of the car park.

At least two regular noodle restaurants (as opposed to Food Court offerings) inside the revamped Big C.

Isn't there a brand new one on the ground floor, next to the Eastern car park doors. (Near where Subway used to be).

I don't often go to Big C Food Courts
But when I do, I ask myself, shouldn't these people be in Pattaya?!

I was not moaning about food prices, I was exposing the high inflation, and made clear I never buy ready made food from big c or eat at food courts, unlike you.

If you want to talk about someone with little money, who even can't afford a 54 baht tin of baked beans, try this guy.

If coming from out of town it is one of the easiest Malls to get into. Usually come down soi 36/1 and then Yume to access the car park at the rear. Easier than Central and T21 to get to. Also open earlier.

I could no be so sad as to buy food and eat it in my car!

View beats big c mall food court, or 4 wall of a coffee shop ...

You missed out the other we3k Heinz beans buy one get one free in Big C 69 baht on Klang, they had the deal on a couple of times. They reduce imported products on a regular basis, it’s just being there at the right time as the offers only last a couple of days.
