United States and Israel Launch Strikes on Iran

Question is how does Israel have so much power over the US?

Short answer is: it doesn't. The U.S. needed a reliable ally in the Middle East and found it in Israel. The U.S. has supported Israel because it is in the national interests of the U.S. to do so.

During the Cold War years, Israel served as a counterweight to Soviet influence in the region. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Israel has served the same function against radical revolutionary Islamism.

U.S. support of Israel is a result of the realities of the post-colonial Middle East. It's not more complicated than that.

Of course, who's more important - the US Jewish billionaires or private Hank from Arkansas?

I was responding to a post about mental incompetence and wielding power. Sleepy Joe was the most power man in the world and he was clearly mentally incompetent and Harris is an idiot who could've been the most powerful person in the world. What the world has now is a President that doesn't fk about.

There only US president with integrity to stand up to the Israel lobby was this great man.

So you must support Smotrich, Ben Gvir, and Netanyahu?

These are despicable animals, I don't need to show you quotes on what they've said about cleansing the West Bank and Gaza and their crazy religious ideology.

Any one with any morals would not support these creatures.

US Jewish billionaires of course. There are the ruled and there will be the rulers. Since in the American system, success comes from intelligence and hard work, the Jews will naturally rule. After all, they invented the entire system.

Earlier in his term, Trump used the biggest bunker bombs ever used and said he'd bombed Iran's nuclear program back to the Stone Age. Of course, this one will be the war to end all wars 🙄

The war to end all wars, and probably over by Christmas!

Trump had no choice. His boss in Jerusalem told him to do it.

Exactly. There are rulers and there are ruled.

So I'm curious....North Korea has nukes. They have the Hwasong 20 which can hit anyplace in the US. During Trump 1.0 they miniaturized their nukes so as to be able to mount them on missiles. They slaughter tens of thousands of their own people, while starving others to death. They represent a major threat to allies like South Korea and Japan.

Certainly the same rationale for attacking Iran exists with North Korea, but Trump loves the little fat dictator.

China is keeping him on a short leash.....for the time being.

Israel is and dragging the US into it. For regime change, not for nuclear weapons.

Wanna see "Regime Change" now. Wait until midnight on November 3rd, 2026 in Washington DC. You'll see regime change. That's what Trump's decapitation strike on Iran is going to buy him. Congratulations Donald. Good job!

Actually, it is. Russia has been getting a steady supply of Iranian - made drones with which to attack Ukraine. It won't be too happy about those drones going elsewhere.

Seems the only one to stand up to the jihadist is Trump.

Not correct. Russia bought the rights to make them and has been making them ever since. There are factories making thousands per week. Quite possibly Russia has sold back to Iran the improvements they have made to the Shahid drone called the Gerund in Russia.

Let's all hope that this war at least will bring about meaningful and lasting democratic change........to the US of A. The world needs this to happen.

It's astounding how the MAGA base has this pathological need for a daddy, for someone to rule them.😆

I know he is the great peacemaker so this goes against everything he believes so passionately in.

I truly truly hope and pray that other countries don't derive inspiration and courage from this. I would hate to see the Cambodia - Armenia conflict flare up again, that would be all we need.

You know very well that Trump meant the Cambodia and Armenian wars , rather than the Cambodia - Armenia war .

and he called himself the PEACE PRESIDENT... he did had the guts to create the Board of Peace and some moronic countries went in with him, wonder what they are thinking about now

Last month, Pakistan signed up to Trump's BoP.

Yesterday, they declared war on Afghanistan.

Today, they've got themselves the longest land border with a nation that finds itself at war with the US and Israel.

Winning!

That's one of the realities of the Middle East situation. Some of those realities change over the years, other remain constant.

The moron tore up the treaty with Iran that Obama signed, because he's a complete idiot and a failed human being. That treaty allowed IAEA to inspect Iranian sites.

He tore it up because that treaty was about as good as toilet paper. Iran was not adhering to the treaty, and it's astonishing that Obama or anyone actually thought they would. Either way- there's more than nuclear on the line here - there is the fate of an entire people - Iranians want freedom from radical Islam and totalitarian regime, and I hope they get it when this is over.

Yes, because that what Trump is all about, freedom and democracy!🤣

Seriously, to avoid posting something so mindblowingly stupid, I think it would help if you read it out loud to yourself before posting.

Just a helpful tip!thumbsup

Yepper. The Pro-Peace Presidency is going to take a victory lap, 'eh?

And all of the MAGA-base who bought into the "We'll End War" nonsense? Yeah - they won't be voting Republican in the mid-Terms or in 2028.

But but but but Biden!! Hey you forgot to mention the laptop.

Please, just for once, discuss the topic at hand. No deflections.

Responding to a comment calling Trump mentally incompetent by pointing out that the previous POTUS was obviously mentally incompetent and Harris is an idiot isn't deflection. Trump is trying to stabalise the Middle East. Biden gave Iran billions.

"Trump is trying to stabalise the Middle East."

Oh really? Is that what he's doing?🤣

Just when I thought I'd read the most moronic post of the day.......

Sorry you don't understand. Maybe try less MSM for your daily diet of brainwashing propaganda. Iran and it's proxies are clearly the biggest destabilizing influence in the Middle East. To deny this is to deny reality.

It is a deflection. What the hell has Harris got to with anything? You are speculating on how she might have handled things when it is completely irrelevant.

And Biden hardly "gave them billions". He released some frozen money in exchange for prisoners. The seized money was released to accounts in Qatar that were controlled by the US and could only be used for humanitarian purposes (food, medicine etc) and not for the military or the government of Iran. It was not US taxpayer money, it was Iran's money which had been seized. So he didn't give them anything.

Oh, and that money was never accessed and was refrozen when Hamas attacked Israel in 2023. Hmmmm, Biden was still president then I believe?

But but but but but, but nothing.

And come on, he is stabilising the middle east by bombing it and seemingly initiating a regional conflict! Are you that deep in the cult???
