Good / Bad Neighbourhoods?

Featured Replies

i am moving to bbk in a couple of months. can anyone advise me about good neighbourhoods to live in or bad ones to avoid?

i'm thinking of the area(s) from lumpini round the mrt route to queen sirikit. khlong toey etc.. maybe ekamai or as far as on nut. generally on the east side of town but avoiding sukhumvit. in the 5,000 6,000 month range.

cheers

there are not really good and bad areas such as you would find in the inner cities like in UK or the States; only rich and poor. For 5 - 6k THB a month you can expect very meagre accomodation; you need to be paying 12,000 plus for anything suitable for a farang really. The nearer the skytrain the more expensive. If you dont need to live in the city then look into Lat Phrao for cheaper accom.
