i like ritter sports DARK chocolate mmm :o

i ate plenty of them

never tried yogort or corn crisp but looks good too.. :D

heres the Ritter Yogurt one.....

they are really good!! not for those who cant handle sweets though :o

knusperkeks...have to ask the german experts...but I guess some reference to cake (biscuit?) have tried those....not as good as the Corn Crisp.

they also have some nice white choc ones....

interestingly...they have a somewhat new (more than a year now).... chocolate cream one..which to most other chocolate maker would have been standard offering?

Tim Tams - the real ones not those disgusting imitations from Indonesia to found lurking in 7-11 stores around the country waiting to entrap unwary Australians seaching for home memories.

Next time I go back or if I go to the Rim Ping markets I will pick up a pack for you. They have an expanding selection now with Black Forrest, Kahlua, Tia Maria, and Caramel. The caramel ones now come with a warning becuase they contain enough sugar to kill a humming bird.

I prefer the Dark Chocolate ones but rarely succumb to the temptation.

Tim Tams and for AussieThai to buy a carton of 20 packs Buy Tim Tams

Chocolate Uuuurrggh!!!

Give me roast potatoes and gravy any day!

Mark reed

Just noticed this thread and I'd love to compete with you as Choc-o-holic Champion of the world, MiG16. Of course, we could dispense with any in-fighting and simply crown ourselves Choc-o-holic King and Queen and live happily ever after! :D

My favourites:

Nutella. What a perfect blend - hazelnuts and chocolate! Here's a recipe link.

Geman chocolate cake. Must be the real deal.

Frango Mints. You mentioned mint chocolate doesn't do much for you. But I believe it's only because you've never had the opportunity to devour this local (Chicago) product. I've yet to find a chocolate mint that can compare.

51W2WHE001L._AA280_.jpg

The pilfered recipe:

Frango Mints (Copycat of the ones they sell in Chicago at Marshall Fields!!)

From: Christine,.IA

12 ounces of chocolate

1 tsp peppermint extract

1/2 c. margarine

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

Melt and cool chocolate (if it seems to think after mixed, you can add more chocolate or powdered sugar) Cream together margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add cooled chocolate and a few drops of mint into the creamed mixture. Pack into an 8-inch square pan. Cool and let set. Cut into squares.

Chocolate covered marzipan. I was raised on this delicacy.

Nougat. Another childhood favourite.

Dove bars (preferrably with chocolate ice cream and the original dark chocolate coating). Ice cream and chocolate - another match made in heaven. I must make a historical note here regarding Dove. Dove was originally a local product of Chicago's southside before it was bought out by M&M/Mars. Those original Dove bars were superior to the ones marketed all over the world today. I used to enjoy them as a kid when they were available only at the Dove Candies ice cream parlour.

Dark or bittersweet chocolate. I'll take that over milk choclate any day. Too many good ones to list, and most have been already.

Chocolate mousse.

Well, I'd like to, and could, keep going but am feeling an irresistable impluse to head over to Tesco/Lotus for one of the above.

BTW, I absolutely loved the chocolate covered delicacy offered by Austhaied (worth a reprint, don'tcha think?).

post-31110-1175192366_thumb.jpg

Austhaied, can you quote me the shipping price? :o

dear dear Tip.....

welcome to my world :D glad to have a fellow chocaholic :D

and honestly contrary to all my pretense about not sharing chocs, Im actually very good at sharing :bah: but I also just like others to give me more and more so that I can then use those to share with others :o

not tried that minty thing, but as said in my previous post, the peppermint bark flavoured one by ghiradelli is really really good :bah:

the worse mint ones Ive had is from cadbury's YUK!!

chocolate and marzipan...hmmm thats almost typical german....are you German?

and yes Nutella!!! MMMMMM the world's best creation Id say.......makes me fall in love :o I always have a jar at home, and sometime another at work :D an easy all time snack and /or meal ....good on bread but irresistable on its own...once u start u cant stop :D

haha and that choc covered lady....I found it on the internet a few months back...almost put in on my profile to pretend its me....but figured Id get the boys too excited :D

anyway for today I offer you this other specialty from Italy...the place that makes me fall in love with its every aspect ;)

post-22734-1181208573_thumb.jpg

One of the best Germany has to offer. I was once in Lübeck and had the opportunity to feast in Niederegger's shop of delights. Does anyone know where I can get marzipan in BKK?

startseite.jpg

BTW, yes, I'm German. Please don't tell anyone. People might think I know Raro. :o

a few supermarkets have marzipan.....Ive seen at Tops, and also Villa

and yes Niederegger mmmmm i was given a box of praline recently.......mmmmmmmmm vewy nice. its all gone now though....but I could quickly take a pic of the empty box and post it here if u want :o

ok heres the pic of the pralines....not empty...but thats only cos Tippaporn is being a cheapskate and sending me only a virtual one :D

Im waiting for the real edible one now :o
