Ok, ok i'll be right back. I put a chocolate bar in the Cd tray of my cpu but it didn't work quite as planned.

Man, this googling is tough. I can't find any good photos. So Because im extra sweet today I will show you a chocolate birthday cake AND include a picure of myself. My daughter of course and to my right, my friends wife and kid.

It was a chocolate ice cream cake. Yum Yum.

Mig, I just think it's too suggestive. And I don't think it suits you. You need one to express your obvious personality. A chocky bar with a personality would do it.

PS. any of you tried Green & Black's chocolates? supposedly organic...but Im told its meant to be good? is this true? personally wouldnt try organic chocs/icecreams or such...but this one comes highly recommended. any thoughts?

The only thing good about chocolate is that it makes women horny. I prefer a nice sausage roll or a mince pie for a snack. Chocolate is a sickly pulp of sugar and only Willy Wonkas factory has any enticement for me to eat the stuff, that is only because I would like to kick one of the umpa loompas like a football ....

Green & Black's is fantastic chocolate. I only eat really dark chocky, 70% cocoa as a minimum! Green & Black's is a little more expensive here in the UK but I think it's worth it!

ps I think Blackforest is from Germany, ie from the black forrest area.

if it's the Blackforrest you refer to, I think it has to have cherry in and cherry brandy (Kirsch, I think it's called) and it's very tasty!

Just noticed this thread and I'd love to compete with you as Choc-o-holic Champion of the world, MiG16. Of course, we could dispense with any in-fighting and simply crown ourselves Choc-o-holic King and Queen and live happily ever after!

My favourites:

Nutella. What a perfect blend - hazelnuts and chocolate! Here's a recipe link.

Geman chocolate cake. Must be the real deal.

Frango Mints. You mentioned mint chocolate doesn't do much for you. But I believe it's only because you've never had the opportunity to devour this local (Chicago) product. I've yet to find a chocolate mint that can compare.

The pilfered recipe:

Frango Mints (Copycat of the ones they sell in Chicago at Marshall Fields!!)

From: Christine,.IA

12 ounces of chocolate

1 tsp peppermint extract

1/2 c. margarine

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

Melt and cool chocolate (if it seems to think after mixed, you can add more chocolate or powdered sugar) Cream together margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add cooled chocolate and a few drops of mint into the creamed mixture. Pack into an 8-inch square pan. Cool and let set. Cut into squares.

Chocolate covered marzipan. I was raised on this delicacy.

Nougat. Another childhood favourite.

Dove bars (preferrably with chocolate ice cream and the original dark chocolate coating). Ice cream and chocolate - another match made in heaven. I must make a historical note here regarding Dove. Dove was originally a local product of Chicago's southside before it was bought out by M&M/Mars. Those original Dove bars were superior to the ones marketed all over the world today. I used to enjoy them as a kid when they were available only at the Dove Candies ice cream parlour.

Dark or bittersweet chocolate. I'll take that over milk choclate any day. Too many good ones to list, and most have been already.

Chocolate mousse.

Well, I'd like to, and could, keep going but am feeling an irresistable impluse to head over to Tesco/Lotus for one of the above.

BTW, I absolutely loved the chocolate covered delicacy offered by Austhaied (worth a reprint, don'tcha think?).

Frangos are the best, but from Seattle. I think the Fredrick and Nelson department store chain developed the recipe.
