Coin-operated Snooker Table And Bar-game Machines

Is there a company in Phuket who supplies coin-operated snooker/pool tables on a profit-share basis? (I used to have such an arrangement many years ago in BKK...)

Also, is there a supplier of coin-operated 'bar-games'? (such as video games, pin-ball etc)?

Believe or not pinball is illegal in Thailand..

A mate had a hellish time importing one.. Customs made all kinds of tea money for false declaration demands..

I can also believe that it's illegal - so forget that one!

5 or 6 years ago I had a coin table and bar-game machines in a bar in BKK - they made very good money each month. I want to put similar games in an 'entertainment' room at my hotel, ideal for when it's raining outside.

Phuket pool tables do a share thing, they supply the table, balls and cues and take 60% of the takings, it's 20 baht a game.

My mate has this arrangement in his bar.

It's illegal for the players to gamble for money on the outcome of the game. I doubt it's illegal to pay a fee to play.

They banned all 'gaming machines' like gamblers.. But somehow pinball got caught up in that ban..

Really ... so pin ball machines are banned & pool tables with pay-to-get-balls slot are OK ?? I remember seeing games rooms in the big new malls, Lotus & Big C included, in Phuket years ago for all sorts of video games. Are these all considered illegal ??

Yeah I cant fathom out the rules either really..

But pool (with coins) is ok.. Poker / fruities / bandits are all gaming machines and not ok... Then pinball is a gaming machine and banned but arcade machines are all ok..

Ahhh Thailand.
