I'm looking for expressions of interest, of any good, young, vibrant, peferably single Thai chef that would like to work abroad in another amazing country like Chile, would get a return airfare paid for, visa sponsorship obviously, and help to find accommodation etc, my cousin and some family members here are looking to start a Thai restaurant here in chile, as the asian restaurant market is starting to grow here now, and with only competition of 3 others in the entire city, we thought would be a good idea to do so, my cousin is a big time Lawyer here specialising in corporate business tax law, has his own firm, so the legal side won't be an issue, and I have a couple of cousins with business degree's also, whom are willing to assist in this new family business, so please advise whomever u may know, this is no muck around, and is a serious proposal, please send me PM through the forum if you know of any one that fits the above criteria, and is seriously keen on travelling to South America to start a fantastic new job, that will be backed by some good reliable people.

please note, this is expressions of interest, we are still looking for a good location, and on the legal formalities also, as we need to see firstly how many expression of interests we get first, to see how feasable it is first.

This is not the place to be looking. You need to contact an employment agency. There are many of them here and you can do a search on the internet for them.

You should have no problem hiring very good chefs that meet your requirements, depending on what your paying. Thia's are always looking for opportunities to go over seas and make big money for a few years, then come home and buy a house.

If I was you, I would hire two of them, in case one wanted to go back home so your not stuck. The other issue you are going to have is finding one that speaks English. The employment agency should be able to solve this for you. But, you are in a Spanish speaking country, I would say it would be almost impossible to find a Thai chef that spoke and read Spanish.

You will need to provide them accommodations in addition to the salary and the airline tickets both ways. Good luck, I don't think you will have too much of a problem as long as Spanish is not a requirement.

ofcourse Spanish is not a requirement, basic English is sufficient, I know this aint THE place, but its just mearly a post to see if anyone may know of someone, plus Ive already received a few emails, so all good. I'll be heading to Bangkok myself in a couple of months anyway, then I will look at an agency as plan C if my others don't work.

Chileans dont eat out much and that is the reason there are only three Thai restaurants in Santiago. The only successful one is in the Sheraton and relies on business travelers not locals. Most of the restaurants in Santiago are struggling. Better think about what you are doing before you mess up some young Thai's life and career. By the way, is your cousin named Vinny? :)
