Yeah wantan, you are right. Sorry for it.

I posted here just to start the process right away once i made up my mind as it is not that easy for me to sell it. It has lots of memories and i get emotionally attached to bikes much more easily than girls man! I want a cyborg lady as gf who can change to a bike when i need like transformers:lol:

Is clicking the link and emailing or calling them that much trouble?

Last time I called Fast Corner they offered me a 10% or 20% discount on the K&N airfilter for the old CBR150.

The price will likely be a few hundred baht less than 3000b. Just call them.

Hi. Just picked up a couple of the Bikers fork adjusters that replace the caps on top of the forks.

Never having had the forks apart I am wondering what happens when you unscrew the stock caps?

Will they fly off and up through the garage ceiling or is it easy to get the adjusters back onto the forks?

I remember one of our esteemed members has also replaced his but no way can I find a pic.

I had mine fork adjusters replaced at bikers own shop. And no worries, springs do not jump or fly out.

But you need strong tools if you need to do it by yourself and you need to be careful and gentle as it is easy to scratch the adjusters.

Finally got the bulk of the bike back from the spray shop.

The guy did a good job, great finish, all be it over a month late.

I'm still waiting on some parts, but have enough to start.

Now to see if me or my brother in law remember how it goes back together.:lol:

Well, after too many beers, one small chip on the inside of the frame from me not paying attention while putting the shock in. In 3 hours we got it back to resemble a bike.

We had some issues with the paint and the the pivots and bolts, but got there with sand paper.

I was annoyed with myself for the chip, but it's not going to be seen and I'll touch it up with a paint pen.

The last picture looks strange, but I think the lights in the shop make the orange go florescent.

We spent another few hours on it last night.
I got the loom and controls on pretty easy, then it was the ABS system which took a while to get off.
It didn't go too bad, I was surprised how easy it went on, I was double checking everything with the service manual though so still took a while.
It's pretty much there now, just need two extra pair of hands to get the engine back in.

Spent a while on it yesterday.

The engine went in easy, that surprised me.

Then we ran into a grounding issue, which took a while to diagnose.

I then spent over an hour trying to work out the new alarm I installed, I wasn't happy about that. Although, messing around with that showed another electrical fault, which would have been a pain if the tank was on.

The brother in law done the fabrication on the front during the week.

Still haven't filled it with coolant and fired it up, that'll be tonight, fingers crossed:unsure:

So why are you doing this? What happened to your bike that you needed to strip it down? Sorry if you already stated why, but I can't find it.

There were a few reasons.

I prefer a more vertical seating position.

I wanted something that was my own colour scheme.

I very rarely, if ever go more than 50kms a day and all are city.

I enjoy the tinkering/design process.

And, the most fitting, why not?

you gonna motard it out?

Yeah, mostly, well the plan anyways.

We got it 90% there on Sunday. Took it out for a 10 min test ride, but it started to lose brake pressure on the rear.

We then spent another 2 hours taking the whole rear braking system apart, still couldn't find the fault.

it's now got to come back apart to get to the ABS system.

I wasn't a happy bunny at the time, hence why I didn't take any pictures.

I like your project. I also prefer a more upright riding position like this bike I saw in Phuket the other day. It looks like he put some ern plasticks on his bike.

Looks way better in the flesh than on this pic
