Last week there was a British couple on honeymoon in the Maldives and crashed their quad bike into a tree.

They both died and their baby daughter now has no parents.

It was on the BBC News website.

Hi all,

i am to old not to wear crash helmet !!, you see people on trikes without helmets

It was just a question whether it was OK here in Thailand

There are so many differing laws out here just wanted to know if anyone knew the correct answer.

Cheers

Ok, in that case I think you don't have to wear one. If the vechicle has 3 wheels (Tuk Tuk etc.) I think there is no need for a helmet.

What kind of trike are you talking about? Is it something that is registered with a green book as a trike, ala Tuk-Tuk.

If it something homemade or made by a local mechanic it wont be road legal and can't be insuranced, which means all accidents you might be involved in you will considered at fault and thus you pay.
