At least they had the good judgement to use your quality Sanki brand aluminum ladder in that situation.

Great brand, not inexpensive for the extension ladders, but far safer than the ladders sold on roaming pick up trucks. With the "house brands" of folding and other tall aluminum ladders at

http://www.thaiwatsadu.co.th/aboutus_en.html or http://www.globalhouse.co.th/Default.aspx both chains seem to be adding new store locations in the

North East, it is not quite the challenge to find a safer tall ladder as even two years ago. That said we just painted some tall bamboo ladders with a shellac in hopes of keeping them from failing quite so quickly.

So, what is wrong with the setup in the OP's picture....it meets Thai safety standards. Well, a Safety First sign should have been included in the picture....you know, like all those Safety First signs you see around Thai building and road construction sites....but watch out, as those Safety First signs may be placed in such a way to cause a hazard. And if you see a Safety First placard on the back of a big truck on the road be sure to keep your distance as the truck's brake lights may not work....or be partially covered by the Safety First placard.
