TV taught me patience when going through all the posts by the guys who have absolutely no knowledge or information about the topic or question posed. It also taught me to accept those posters who offer 15^th hand info, as in: I don't know anything about that but, my best friend's brother's daughter in-law's office manager's son heard about a guy who has never been here but, who knows someone who told my friend's second cousin that he heard that someone down at the end of the bar, I don't drink anymore so I can't be sure which bar, said she might be able to help you but, I don't have her phone number anymore since she left the country in 1987. I find, when posting in a topic like “Thailand Needs Cricket” and you make a reply on page 58, someone new to the topic and only read up to page 3 says “but you said this earlier”

So, thinking that it must be on page 1 or 2 or 3, I start to go back and try to find what I said. Yes, you guessed it, the reply referred to was on page 56.

So, as I say, I just turn the other cheek……Good fun though.

Actually, TV has been helpful when help has been needed on topics as varied as fishing, 90 day reports, quitting smoking, garden paths, motorcycles, etc.

Having said that, there are so many armchair activists and people holding forth on matters on which they know little or nothing that a lot of the time you find yourself wading through bullpoop and fighting to separate the wheat from the chaff. Nevertheless, entertaining in one way or another and it certainly helps you get through the tedium of a day at the office.

It helps me spreading my wise ole thoughts derived from experience,

A very kind and knowledgeable TV member 'Darrel' helped me when I couldn't connect my TV to the internet. I hate those prats who suggest google for everything and anything - before posting I phoned my ISP True who blamed the modem company, so I called them and they blamed the TV manufacturer Samsung, so I called them also and they suggested calling True!

So thanks Darrel and others who posted, thanks Thaivisa - I really appreciate the time, money and stress that getting advice on here can help people save.
