Tourist Madness Strikes again as a Belgian ex policeman steals the tips from a bar band in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- At 1.45 on Saturday morning, Police officer, Satien Ratpong was called to the Lucky Star Bar in Pattaya to deal with the most stupid of tourists, 50 year old Mr.De Sinet Jos, who was reported as totally drunk and stealing the tips from the bar band who had played all night for customers.

Police were amazed to find that the man is a former Policeman himself, in his home country and yet was determined to fight everyone who came in his way. The manager of the bar in Soi 8 along with the band singer both gave statements that while the band was playing, the drunk clambered onto the stage and stole the tip money from the jar where customers leave a little something to say thank you. PATTAYA:--Just before 1.45am on Saturday, Police were called to the Lucky Star Beer Bar on Pattaya Beach in front of Soi 8 to deal with a Belgian patron who was accused of stealing money from a tip-box situated at the front of a sound stage.

Mr. Jos De Smet aged 52, a former Police Officer from Belgium, was accused of stealing 800 Baht from the Tip Box and is further accused of using 400 Baht of the money to pay for his drinks before he left the bar. As he left he was stopped by the Bar Manager Khun Pisan aged 32 and the female singer Khun Gidapar aged 40 and was asked to accompany them the short distance to Pattaya Police Station at the front of Soi 9 on Pattaya Beach. He refused and when Police arrived, he decided to go.

When he arrived at the Police Station, he was taken to the 2nd Floor investigation room where he was subjected to a search. A Police Corporal wanted to search Mr. De Smet’s trouser pockets but was prevented from doing so by Mr. De Smet who was in a heavily intoxicated state.

I think when we go to bar, we should aware of the alchohol intake limit because if not, we can cause trouble and harm to other persons like in this example

Not everybody turns criminal under the influence of alcohol. But if you do, you are right to know your limit and stay below it.

I saw a video of this on Channel 7 TV news at around 5:30 this morning. It wasn't cctv though, there appeared to be a camerman there and it was high quality colour footage !

He's wearing black ankle length socks! Throw him in jail!

When it comes to a drunken farang stupidity competition, amateurs are way out of their depth in Pattaya. Maybe Guinness needs to include this category in their World Records and surely JackAss videos should be able to find enough material here to broadcast for years to come.
