Just a simple straightforward question. Most people have a bottom line in what they are prepared to accept as a suitable quality of life. Would would need to happen to have you questioning whether to continue living here?

But aren't there quality education choices in the private schools? Like in Chiang Mai?

Quality education needs quality money. IMO based on the circles i have moved in, FIL, what i have witnessed myself at thai, private, schools of the kids and what i have read and heard from foreign teachers about the thai educationsystem, it is not good to say the least.

If my company mails my paycheck to some other location (or just quits sending it to me in Thailand), it's bye-bye!

I like it here just fine. But if the job goes away, so do I.

Or is it that the asians and africans have colonised UK and driven out the locals to Thailand, Phillipines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos...??

Yeap..same for me, job finishes time to move on...

If Thailand happened to erupt into civil war, think that would time to leave as well, however if the job was still on the go and they offered me more money to stay, I might consider staying...tongue.png
