A new phase - 11 years in the making

HUA HIN: -- Eleven years ago this month two new English language ventures were born in Thailand ,coincidentally both because of the vision of someone called George.

The founding fathers of these ventures were George Mastronikolis, who began Hua Hin Today and George Anderssen, the originator of ThaiVisa.

ThaiVisa and Hua Hin Today have entered into a joint venture. Commencing with this issue of Hua Hin and Cha-am Today, this new venture will benefit both companies in various areas, ThaiVisa will promote the huge data base and more than 20 web sites, that Hua Hin Today has built over the years, the massive lane of followers on Facebook and Twitter (more than 150,000) and most importantly activate and organize the ThaiVisa Hua Hin Forum. As we all know ThaiVisa has the biggest and strongest forum about Thailand in the world, and with more than 160,000 plus registered members, ThaiVisa years of experience will help to maximize the benefits of our e-paper and connect the people under the forum of ThaiVisa

ThaiVisa existing members and readers will now be able to read and learn more about Hua Hin and surrounding area.

The new venture will give the opportunity to the advertisers of both companies to reach a massive number of readers (more than 300,000) on a daily basis with news letters and breaking news to our followers and registered members and our e-paper will be delivered every month to all this readers.

ThaiVisa, the Forum and website will carry news and content from Hua Hin and Cha-Am Today. Being the oldest English licensed newspapers in this region, covering news from Petchaburi to Ban Saphan, with a combined readership off 16,000 + through our print and on line portals www.huahintoday.com and www.huahintoday.net, Hua Hin and Cha-am Today were the selected choice for ThaiVisa.

With sales offices in Hua Hin and Cha-am and soon to be opened in Kao Takiab, the partnership between ThaiVisa and Hua Hin and Cha-am Today made a lot of sense.

Here are some of the inportant informations about Thai Visa, Thai Visa is very well know worldwide, being the biggest website in the world covering topics about Thailand, with more than 70,000 unique visitors per day and a record of 32,000 users on line simultaneously. Over 7,500,000 pages are viewed each month on ThaiVisa. Virtually every Farang in the country checks out the threads now and again.

A group of 40 people spread over several continents in all the time zones administer the website. With a wealth of knowledge about the Land of Smiles, accumulated in some cases over more than a decade, the team describes their goal as building “the most complete information portal for the expatriate community in and outside of Thailand” ThaiVisa Classifieds are Thailand’s largest on line second hand market and 25% of their web traffic.

With the head office and administration in Bangkok and offices in Hong Kong, ThaiVisa is now expanding their office network to Hua Hin and Cha-Am through the new partnership with Hua Hin Today and Cha-Am. ThaiVisa recently launched a property website and will start a country wide Golf website from the 1st of November 2013.

ThaiVisa is a powerful marketing platform and one of Thailand’s leading generators of e-commerce relating to hotel bookings, travel and local business and investment opportunities, being a Premium Partner with Google Inc.

ThaiVisa has many other media partnerships and news feeds from sources including The Nation, Agence France-Presse (AFP), MCOT, Phuket Gazette, The Phuket News, Chiang mai Mail, Pattaya One, Pattaya Mail, Pattaya 103FM, NNT, Coconuts Bangkok, Scand Asia, Irrawaddy, BNO News etc..

This new partnership with Hua Hin and Cha-Am Today will take the readership to a complete new level, creating opportunities for the local and regional businesses to advertise and reach for a far bigger consumer base. Both companies believe that by combining the strengths of both businesses, we can create a fantastic exposure for new and existing customers. Hua Hin and Cha-Am Today newspapers, the combined force of our readers and internet followers and the ThaiVisa subscribers will now have a reach of

over 400,000 monthly viewers.

We welcome the many benefits available to the community with this exciting development. The partnership offers daily access for the thousands of ThaiVisa website visitors both in Thailand and across the globe to understand more about Thailand and this region in a very user friendly and convenient package.

Some Comments From HUA HIN & CHA-AM TODAY Owner; George Mastronikolis

“In the past Hua Hin Today was really a part time enterprise and almost a hobby. I never really had the people in management to take it to this new level. Customer loyalty and other commitments have always been a priority and it is important to deliver what is offered.

With my daughter in the management chair, her commitment to perfection and a completely new team, it was time to open new doors. All our new partners are well established companies both here and in China and Hong Kong. Previously it was not possible to start these ventures when I was unsure that I could deliver my obligations.

We think of this venture with ThaiVisa as part of a new era for Hua Hin & Cha-Am Today. The burgeoning opportunities now available to our customers and readers alike will give our region a higher and broader exposure for the benefit of all.”

Some comments From THAIVISA Marketing Director; Barry Main

“We are very excited about this venture, says Barry Main, Marketing Director of Thaivisa. This extends the userbase for us, and we see synergy effects and marketing possibilities working with a Hua Hin news organisation to provide an English language internet community forum.

With this growth in the user base we hope to increase the variety of content and reach a wider section of the foreign and Thai community,” says Barry Main.

“We are happy to be working with Hua Hin Today and the ThaiVisa Hua Hin Forum. It’s a newspaper with a long history of credibility and substance, and Hua Hin Today has an extremely strong presence in the major search engines, particularly Google. Working together has already resulted in an increase in traffic, a trend which we expect to continue,”

“We’ve brought a Hua Hin news icon into our pages, and the opportunities for continuing development and expansion of the partnership into other areas are looking pretty good,” he added.

Congratulations! May this union bring many more years of success and happiness to both parties. Both expats and nationals alike benefit greatly from the informative and sometimes very humorous forums and informative news items.

Hopefully there will be people on staff that can write proper articles that may even contain some research behind it.

Really getting tired of the kindergarten reporting so far via other newspapers!

But then it wouldn't really represent a part of modern Thai culture, would it?
