Well done Bookman taking out the round and Khun Will regaining the league.

This week will be interesting with the margin playing an important role.

Hardest tips for me are kangas v dogs demons v gws and freo v hawks.

Dont think tigers will trouble crows at AO.

Here is an interesting video. North Melbourne defender Michael Firrito looks back on his verbal stoush with field umpire Chris Donlon

http://www.afl.com.au/video/2014-08-12/roo-recounts-ump-spray

Garry Lyon talked about this on Monday and for once, I actually agree with him. Donlon let Firrito get to him. If it was Rampaging Ray, there'd have been a 50 paid automatically, plus a 50 paid after the subsequent restart and Firrito would've been reported. Rampaging Ray wouldn't put up with that horse shit...

You might need some bold tipping to get ahead of KhunWill outright. His margin looks safe at the moment. Those 3 games you mention are all tight ones.

How about Adel v Richmond and Essendon V West Coast?

I like the Western Bulldogs against North. I know the Kangaroos are your team Farmerjo so must be difficult to tip against them. I just wish they weren't so damn inconsistent!

Roberts-Thomson departs as injuries take their toll

SYDNEY Swans premiership defender Lewis Roberts-Thompson has announced his immediate retirement from the game.

After his 2013 season was all but wiped out by a serious knee injury, Roberts-Thompson has played just five games this season, spending the past six weeks in the NEAFL.

Influential in attack in 2012, he has been unable to break into a star-studded forward line that includes Lance Franklin, Kurt Tippett and Adam Goodes.

The cult hero leaves the game after playing a crucial role in the 2005 and 2012 premierships, playing 179 games after being recruited as a zone selection with pick No.29 in the 2011 National Draft.

I reckon Carlton are a big chance against Geelong tomorrow.

Carlton are in good nick and I reckon Geelong could suffer from

the "big game letdown" after the Freo game.

Then again, I've picked 1 winner in the last 5 Friday night games so

I might do a George Constanza and pick the opposite of what my gut tells mebiggrin.png

Funny stuff the 'ol Seinfeld!

I also mentioned Carlton v Geelong earlier on. Carlton has nothing to lose at all whereas Gellong has the pressure of its top 3 position.

It really is tough to pick Carlton over the Cats...but...

I'm struggling more with Bulldogs V North... When in doubt, i know i know, tip against North...

I find this quite sad to be honest.

Talk about a fall from grace, for both of them.

Gary Ablett, Ricky Nixon fight in Port Melbourne:

http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/afl/gary-ablett-ricky-nixon-fight-in-port-melbourne-report/story-fniv5weh-1227023831622

Surprised Sam Newman's not involved... At first glance I thought it was going to be about Junior getting into fistifcuffs, but it was his old man... Didn't make it so appealing both are as bad as each other... Nixon's tweets made me laugh though...

Maybe they'd lend me that bike if they are not using it tongue.png

I'm sure Buddy won't mind you riding it back to his place, saves him a trip up the road, Bondi streets are pretty narrow at the best of times probably why Buddy's not nipped over to pick it up :P

living the dream.

I'm glad Hanners stood his ground with the cook over not taking the

Another spanner in the tipping selections for this round! Some big name influential players returning for their clubs this week.

Jack Gunston

Brian Lake

Jobe Watson

Dane Swan

Luke Ball

KhunWill, West Coast would prefer to see Jobe sitting this one out I am sure.

Geelong also two big names out. Carlton could get this one.

Jimmy Bartel (out)

Steve Johnson (out)

Yes BookMan, it would've been nice to see Jobe have another week off,

but hopefully he's short of a gallop. Jake Carlisle is a huge out for them though.

A couple of big ins for the Hawks as well with Gunston and Lake available.

Some genuine fitty fitties this round.

I just expect to get Friday nights tip wrong now and just try and concentrate

on the next 8 gamesbiggrin.png

If you want Chimpy to come round and help you out with selections just let me know. He has a real thing for St Kilda at the moment, but that might just be chooka playing mind games with him

Has he picked the saints this week for an upset?

With Stevie J and Jimmy Bartel both out of tonight's clash, Carlton should be firming up to take this one out... Could be the roughy for the week...

That game really has come into a 50/50 proposition

Jordon Murdoch also a late withdrawal for the Cats.

C'mon guys, you know you WANT to pick Carlton.

Me? I feel like a Cornetto ice cream
