A dazed Aziz Javaid is parked in an ambulance to recover from his shock.

PHUKET: -- A British tourist who was aggressively soliciting donations in Soi Bangla for his own personal charity received a lesson in manners from one of his targets early this morning (December 14).

Kathu police received a report that a a tourist had been knocked unconscious on Patong’s Street Where Anything Goes.

When they arrived they found Aziz Javaid, 29, lying on the ground, out for the count, with cuts on his head and the beginnings of a black eye. He was taken to Patong

Witnesses told police that Mr Javaid was walking around demanding money from other tourists and being thoroughly rude to anyone who would not hand over some cash.

Unluckily for him, the witnesses said, one of his targets took exception to this abuse and knocked him to the ground.

We were walking through Big C here in Pattaya 2 days ago and a farang came up to my wife and rather aggressively asked for donations to his charity. She threatened to contact the store manager and he took off quickly. Seems to be the thing to do these days.

And people wonder why the Thai's are so against over stay visa.

Simple solution forget about medical treatment. Take him and his passport to jail long enough to hose him down. Get the Embassy to get him a clean shirt and pants and throw him on the next plane to the UK with a do not readmit stamp on the passport.

Oh Yeah video the whole thing and put it on Youtube for others to see so that they do not get the same idea.

Hell it is bad enough with the Thais begging without these guys.

it would be interesting to hear about his visa status i personally think his reason for being here should be challenged and a possible deport in good order

I'm disappointed with the Phuket police. They're reported as merely "arriving" at the scene.

Our coppers here in Pattaya invariably "rush to the crime scene". tongue.png

What do you mean they are "so against overstay visa".

How much effort do they make to check people?

Virtually none.

What is the punishment normally?

Pay a fine.

Wow. What a serious punishment

Is it a criminal offence to beg in Thailand?

Who cares.. It's a social offence to be, loud, aggressive and get in peoples faces and invade their peace. Must have been a "one two" combination to lay him out and black the eye too.

Good so !!!!

Whoever hit him should have hit him harder, it's scum like him that gives the rest of us from the UK a bad name.

So it's only scum like him ? clap2.gifcheesy.gif

Funny you say that. I the same experience when walking with my girlfriend. He sounded rather posh as well a Londoner, held his hand out and insisted she give him some money. She politely walked away.

Funny story...

A few years back, while at a Swensen's at the big Tesco. In come two "deaf mutes", farangs. They walked by each table and put down a trinket, and asking for a donation. You keep the trinket (a lapel pin of sorts) and give them the donation. The card clearly stated they are deaf mute.

So, I recognized the girl. Hi Marie!!!! I yelled. She turns around! I got up, took all the crap off everyone's tables and gave them back to Marie.

Never saw her there anymore with her bearded lover. The readers might have seen them.

Looks like he got what he deserved...

Can't beat a good 'One Arrow' administered by a competent person, tends to rectify the situation where Gob-$hites are concerned...

Unless they're unfortunate enough to be either physically or mentally challenged and can't earn for themselves, I've never understood why beggars think I should go to work and then give them some of the proceeds so that they don't have to. There's enough unfortunates in Thailand without scum like this guy leeching off the public.

Hope he gets deported.

Clearly a true English gentleman!

Oh no, he'd end up sitting next to me with my usual luck!

Is it a criminal offence to beg in Thailand?

Begging is a reserved occupation in Thailand. Only Thais are legally allowed to beg.
