Accident Motorcyclist Rides Into Unlit Construction Pit in Pattaya
Picture courtesy of Kaoded. A 42-year-old motorcyclist was left injured in the early hours of the morning of 4 July, after crashing into an poorly marked and unlit construction zone along Sukhumvit Road in South Pattaya. The accident occurred at around 04:30, near the entrance to Soi Sukhumvit 67, directly opposite a Shell petrol station. Emergency services from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation were called to the scene after reports of a man and motorcycle having plunged into a pit within an active construction area. The injured man, identified as Mr Boonsom Haikrathok, suffered abrasions across his body and a serious fracture to his right leg. His orange Honda CBR motorcycle had fallen on top of him pinning at the top of the pit. Rescue personnel lifted the motorbike and provided first aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital. According to Mr Boonsom, the stretch of road was completely dark due to a power outage affecting the streetlights and no working warning lights and limited signage had been placed around the ongoing drainage works. As a result, he was unable to see the open pit and collided directly with the construction barrier, sending him and the motorcycle tumbling into the hole. Local residents have strongly criticised the contractor responsible for the site, accusing them of dangerous negligence. Many have pointed out the inadequate warning indicators and lighting in the area. Authorities have documented the incident and are investigating the contractor’s compliance with public safety regulations. Meanwhile, local officials have promised to review the case and push for improved lighting and signage at construction zones across the city to prevent similar incidents in future. Accident Student Struck by Bus Driving Against Traffic on Bangkok Crossing
Several years ago, my wife was driving when a Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA) bus sped through a red traffic light, narrowly missing her.... (evidence on dash-cam). She promptly contacted the widely advertised BMA complaint hotline to report the dangerous behaviour. Unsurprisingly, the response was dismissive: something along the lines of, “So what? You’re alive, aren’t you? The bus didn’t hit you.” Nowadays, social media is the only truly effective tool for addressing such issues. It forces those in power to act - but only once a certain level of public attention has been achieved. The problem is, not every case attracts media coverage. Additionally, generating the necessary social media spotlight requires careful and strategic effort to avoid accusations of defamation. -

UK Diane Abbott Breaks Ranks Over Terror Law Targeting Palestine Action Group
Stop trolling, the topics are all there including the latest act of terrorism against the RAF and two of its planes. Their actions and damage fall under the UK Terrorism Act. You have already stated you don't agree with it. Shame on you but I will not fall for your baiting and apologist rhetoric when all the information is there. -

UK Diane Abbott Breaks Ranks Over Terror Law Targeting Palestine Action Group
Let's hope they all get up on the stages and verbally encourage the activists to demonstrate, then the police can arrest them on terrorist charges
