Can't use Playstore...asks for authetication.

Hi, whenever I try to download an app from the Playstore I now get the message 'Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google account.'

As far as I am aware I am signed in!

Any ideas? Thanks for reading.

They want you to sign in again. It often happens to me. Just an additional level of security.

Restart phone and sign in, still the same message.....frustrating!

Can you access your Google accounts (GMail for example) from the device? Or from a PC?

Clear Data, Clear Cache for Google Play Store app.

Turn off phone, remove battery, re-install battery, restart phone, may work.

Clear data worked a treat, thanks for the suggestion.

I have a feeling that it may be linked to the option of the old '[email protected]' email address I used to use for my google signin even though I switched to a gmail signin when it became obsolete.

Android won't let me delete the thaivisa.com email from my 'accounts and sync'.
