Thai Education Minister Jaturon: Ministers will not step down

They have already organised and packed the lunchboxes for the highspeed rail.

Don Mueang reopened to relieve congestion.

Permission granted to begin construction on 3rd runway at Suvarnabhumi

Permission granted to open tendering and grant contracts for 2nd Terminal at Suvarnabhumi

Construction begun on new terminal for Phuket

Reopening on the bids for APIS for Immigration (speeding processing)

Changing grading at Immigration so the 400 officers promoted out of customer-facing roles returned to serving the lines

Yes, that's all in my field - so I felt it was better to stick to that. Incidentally 1-5 of those were delayed by the democrats refusal to sign - No funding or loans necessary, just permission needed (funded by existing AoT reserves and revenues).

Is that it ??? DMK opened because BKK was built by Thaksin, corrupt from day one. TOP money paid for construction--shoddy materials/aircon not efficient,

top money paid for runways/taxiways--foundations surfacing cheap Charlie job, capacity in a few years full--little forward thinking.

That is my 10% of rip offs in the construction and acquiring of land for BKK.

Road/rail/canals--deteriorating fast.

Education highest spending in the world lowest education in the bottom half of world. Loads more.. want to try anything apart from airports ???

No, I stuck to my specialty - which clearly is not yours.

Were you aware of the master airport plan originally? 2nd terminal completion was meant to commence in 2007 and finish in 2012 - why do you think that didn't happen? Were you aware of when the land for suvarnahbhumi was originally acquired? (clearly not).

As for land subsidence - actually for that area the new airport has suffered remarkably little. It's true at the time the consultant contractors recommended a longer bedding period, however that would have created another 18 month delay and reduced the risk by 10%.

Through every stage of the project, every week there were Japanese auditors appointed by the JETRO counting everything right down to the numbers of chairs and whiteboards in offices (protecting their 65 billion thb investment very jealously). The propoganda in the newspapers about corruption was just that - even the very famous 10x increae in cost of the baggage scanners was actually due to the US govt policies post Sept 11 (only governments could buy, not the building contractor).

Now, do you have any actual facts?

EDIT - uncalled for insult by me removed - sorry Ginjag

Apology accepted, but now no reply. I had posted one, but deleted it.

Well then it looks like it's all over for the lunatic Suthep, don't forget to take your tooth brush on the 27th.

If you care to delve into the individual cabinet members, and look at their achievements in the 3 years, + they got paid for doing nothing but run Thailand down, for the sake of 1 man.

Well if anyone from the PTP or red shirts is out there , can you tell me what has been achieved in the past four years.

Don't encourage him. We've got ginjag and his "tell me what's been achieved in 3 years" every other post, djjamie with his "1 or 15 principles of democracy" mantra and now you with your "tell me what has been achieved in 4 years".

Can please come up with something sensible actually pertaining to the thread?

And your sick pig lame dog excuse for denial ???

It is ok for you to keep putting my question back--achievements in 3 years, you will not answer it----because you cannot--and furthermore proves that denial slogan----if your in denial then you must give yours reasons for the defense of 3 years diabolical governing.

Take note all posters--and we will wait with baited breath. If you do come up with some mega achievements then we can discuss. If not you keep hammering back the Suthep thing, near all your argument is about him.

HE had nothing to do with lousy governing.

To question the government you support OTT, you think it is not sensible to criticize. ODD !!!

In your shoes and thinking, if the government was that brilliant, I would certainly be firing on all cylinders and pointing out all the mega achievements and be proud of it------so why your stance ????

Maybe so, they are all excrement but suthep did give his word to surrender himself if they didn't step down so my comment still stands.
Your comment that they are all excrement has been noted.

Really good to hear an insider version of the story, and different from the media lines. I'd love to hear more about that outside the context of an internet flame war.

Just because there were Japanese auditors involved doesn't mean the whole thing was spotless - they've had plenty of corruption scandals at home - but it is a very good point. Anti-government people throw accusations of corruption very liberally (and in Thailand generally it's easy to believe them), but they conveniently forget the need for evidence and fair prosecution, and their own shady past.

Of course they won't step down. A stupid idea from a desperate maniac & his idiot supporters.

Of course they won't step down. Thaksin won't allow them to. Once they do, and someone gets a look at the real books it's game over.

In the meantime clinging on to power is the only option, unless a coup can be instigated, whilst hoping for a new election to get back into full power and resume all the games.

Another vow from a PTP caretaker Minister.

Former disgraced caretaker PM/DM Yingluck liked making vows - such as vowing to pay the farmers.

Former caretaker Labour Minister and now self appointed head of CAPO Chalerm vowed to cut his own head off.

Their vows don't really seem to mean a great deal.

for the buckets of money they can make I wouldn't step down as well. Every day more makes a huge difference on the bank account.

Being made a Minister in Thailand is the equivalent of a mega win on the lottery. Would you give that up?

Thailand on the brink of civil war

Google it. I don't give the link because the text is extremely hard against the so-called Royalists.

Hilarious how so many Suthep supporters have been lambasting Jonathan Head of the BBC for what they say is biased coverage by him of the situation when this writer is even far less forgiving (rightly so). giggle.gif

Maybe the penny will drop eventuallywink.png

So you are as a coward as the reds you support???????

If you got something to share, just do it or do not try to hide anything, but be a man....
