Quick Arrest! Man Caught After Snatching 4 Baht of Gold
In a swift operation, police apprehended a 27-year-old man who snatched gold necklaces weighing four baht and attempted to flee a mall in Bangkok. The suspect was intercepted near the roadside shortly after the incident, thanks to vigilant citizens and rapid police action. On November 18, around 15.00 officers from the Bukkhalo Police Station, including Pol. Col. Chattakit Phadungchanthanai and Pol. Lt. Col. Prasert Chana-akson, arrested Thanus “Art” Prasakha, a resident of Kalasin province. The arrest took place near Soi Somdet Phra Chao Taksin 40 in Thonburi District, Bangkok. Police seized three gold necklaces weighing four baht in total, concealed in the left front pocket of the suspect’s black jacket. The man was charged with robbery after he confessed to snatching the items from a gold shop located at the Big C Dao Khanong branch. The incident began when the suspect entered the gold shop pretending to shop for necklaces. After requesting the staff to display several pieces, he seized three gold necklaces and fled on foot. The store immediately alerted the police, providing a description of the suspect, who was wearing a black jacket and jeans. Acting on the tip-off, a police team rushed to the area and spotted a man matching the description running away near the mall. Citizens who witnessed the theft were also pursuing the suspect, shouting for assistance. The officers quickly intercepted him, leading to his arrest. During questioning, Thanus admitted to the robbery, revealing he had concealed the stolen necklaces in his jacket. He stated that he had taken advantage of an opportune moment during the shop staff’s distraction. The gold necklaces were confiscated as evidence, and the suspect was informed of his rights and charges before being handed over to investigators for legal proceedings. The police have since praised the cooperation of the public and the prompt response of officers, ensuring the suspect was caught before he could escape further. Picture from CCTV -- 2024-11-20 -

Zelensky knows the game is up.
In the wider context it means nothing. I doubt there are enough of them in existence to make a difference, and Zelensky will not be getting all of them by a long chalk. IMO this is merely Biden ( or his handlers ) making a last rattle of the sabre before Trump puts this proxy war into it's grave. BTW, expect more air assaults on Kiev in retaliation. -

Passenger Van NGV Catches Fire, 6 Passengers Escape: Driver Ignored Vehicle Issues
A public passenger van operating on the Buriram-Korat route was completely engulfed in flames on the afternoon of November 19. Fortunately, all six passengers managed to escape unharmed. The driver admitted he was unfamiliar with the vehicle and noticed irregularities before the fire broke out. Passengers revealed overhearing a conversation between the drivers about replacing faulty parts prior to departure. The incident occurred at approximately 16:00. Police Lieutenant Thanat Nakornthaisong, an investigator at the Buriram City Police Station, received a report of a van fire on the four-lane Buriram-Nangrong highway, just outside Buriram City. The blaze erupted near a seafood restaurant. Firefighters and rescue teams from Sawang Chanayatham Foundation were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, a white 13-seat van, license plate from Nakhon Ratchasima, was fully engulfed in flames. The passengers, consisting of one man, four women, and a student, were visibly shaken but safe. Firefighters took 20 minutes to extinguish the fire, but the van was completely destroyed. Boonthan Yophoth, 62, the substitute driver, stated that he does not regularly drive this vehicle. The usual driver was on leave, and the manager had asked him to take over. According to Boonthan, the van had just been parked and had not undergone a mechanical check before departure. Boonthan started the journey from the Buriram bus terminal en route to Nakhon Ratchasima. About 5 kilometres from the terminal, he noticed smoke billowing from the engine compartment. He immediately pulled over to inspect the problem, but the fire ignited before he could act. He quickly opened the van doors, allowing all passengers to escape safely. He noted that the van was not fully occupied and the doors opened smoothly, which helped avoid casualties. Moments later, multiple explosions were heard due to the van running on CNG. Amphorn 49, one of the passengers, shared that before boarding the van, she overheard a conversation between the drivers about the need to replace certain parts. However, she was unsure what the issue was and assumed it was safe to travel. The ride proceeded as usual until the incident occurred. The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and whether negligence played a role. Passengers are calling for stricter vehicle inspections to ensure public safety.
