Rimmer Posted July 11, 2015 Share Posted July 11, 2015 Speed Boat incident in Pattaya Bay PATTAYA:--Two families, one Thai and one foreign, were rescued from a sinking speed boat off the coast of Pattaya on Friday Afternoon. No injuries were reported and the 10 members of both families, who were on their way to Larn Island, were rescued and taken back to Pattaya unharmed. The boat in question was the “Chockcharee” and was being driven by Khun Worawong aged 22 at the time of the incident, which occurred 1 nautical mile from the coast of Pattaya. Other boats were on-scene within minutes to rescue those onboard and the damaged boat, was taken back to the Bali Hai Port where it was seized by Harbor Officials, who identified a hull breach. Srikcir Posted July 12, 2015 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Harbor Officials identified a hull breach. Sounds like the driver hit something in the water like a log.. Unless there was an equipment or abnormal structure failure, the renters will likely be responsible for the repair. I hope they took out insurance.
